Having a day full of blessings is easy in the
especially when living through the joys of a child.
I believe that being connected with nature is one of the greatest gifts we can receive. The earth relentlessly supports us, even when we abuse her, ignore her, or doubt the worth of that which she supplies. Holding space for children to grow up in a natural and holistic setting helps them stay in touch with creation, and to live in gratitude and appreciation for the beauty gifted.
Being with children all day provides great opportunity to immerse them in skills that will last them a lifetime. Even with a very busy day, it's amazing how much one can accomplish with children, and still be present with the things that are important to them. I included them in my day which we spent mostly outside, jumping on the tramp, singing in Spanish, caring for the chickens, pruning trees, pulling weeds, being astounded at the magnificence of mother nature and her vast display of blossoms in a rainbow of colors.

This is Noki helping to clear planting space in the garden. She is only 3, but already knows what sprout is what, what is edible and what is not, why the worms are there, the importance of dark rich soil and how to make it out of waste--just for starters. She can do nearly everything her bigger sister does, and is participating in something of great benefit to the entire community, staying connected with nature, getting to spend time together in purposeful play, getting fresh air, sunshine and grounding through her bare feet. She gets to nibble on the freshest, most loved food on the planet while she plays, and helps harvest produce for our evening meal.
These are the herbs we gathered for our activated water, with which we are blessed to be drinking everyday.
There was also some solar baking going on, as you can see my homemade, sustainably made and lovingly decorated birthday cake!

QiQi, who is now 5, is an incredible help wherever she focuses. She not only helps in all areas of the garden--making compost, planting, transplanting, propagating, weeding, building trellises, pruning, harvesting, laying irrigation and readying the beds for the next crop--she also carries wood, cooks and cleans, organizes, creates amazing works of art, designs clothing and hairstyles, and oh soooooo much more.

Running through the grounds we took every opportunity to indulge in the scent of the magnificence of spring.

We marveled at the breathtaking display that most people never get to see.
And enjoyed a little orange snack while we played amongst the faeries.
