Why is it that Native Americans still have to fight for their lands and their rights in this so called era of progress?
We see the treaties which entitled the united states government to take control of SOME land being disregarded and abandoned, while the constitution clearly states that treaties are THE supreme law of the land.
How is it currently acceptable for the federal government to run ruff shod over the rights of these sovereign nations?
These lands on which the united states have been built ARE the homelands of the tribal people of this continent, the tribal people who ARE STILL HERE.
When a country fails to follow their own agreements, who intercedes on behalf of the wronged people?
Will the righteous citizens stand up the the government for violating the treaties which were written on their behalf?
Are there any people left who believe that contracts once made should be honored?
Do we live in such a state of disgrace that the people who fail to honor their word face no repercussions for violating the Supreme Law of the Land?
How do we consider ourselves righteous and just, while standing by a government which betrays the treaties that are the foundation of our so called land of the free?
Must we take everything from the indigenous peoples?
