Much like the Simpsons Halloween specials and the endless Halloween themed marketing schemes Steemitboard has decided to get in on the action by creating a one off badge (as seen below) that can be earned only on this Halloween and by fulfilling on some other criteria which you can see here.

I don't observe the holiday of Halloween personally but it is hard to ignore and children seem to enjoy it which can only be a good thing, i have already seen some interesting Trick or treat costumes as the Halloween parties are well under-way.
As i'm writing this post i thought i might as well look up and summarise what Halloween actually is, so according to Wikipedia; Halloween or "All Hallows Evening" was first observed to remember the dead including saints and martyrs, there are various intricacies to Halloween but it seems that it is mostly used as a business opportunity these days.
