Thank You, for the (too) long, yet somewhat needed comment =Þ
No! I didn't said explosion, I said expulsion x_ÐPlasma? The 4th state of matter? The medium through which blood cells are transported? Just jokin' around..And, sort of extracellular fluid, although the interstitial fluid is "just" the main part of extracellular fluid.the act of expelling; the state of being expelled
i.e.: "The expulsion of air from the lungs"
And I'm not aware of other types of "plasma", the gold liquid running in veins. The "walls" between cells and the outside are their membrane. The main component of the extracellular fluid is the interstitial fluid that surrounds cells.
The way You described the river and what You found out is actually a good one to start explaining that the blood in itself is not the medium per se.Maybe You will find interesting to read more about blood cells and their mechanics here.Water is indeed not alive, yet, it possesses memory, pretty much like the ROM in all computers.Don't be scared cause, the One Creator of all, did a pretty good job about the nature of everything ;)The cell membrane (also known as the plasma membrane (PM) or cytoplasmic membrane, and historically referred to as the plasmalemma) is a biological membrane that separates the interior of all cells from the outside environment (the extracellular space) which protects the cell from its environment.

Blood cells, allow me to inform You that are not created by meiosis, they are created by mitosis in the bone marrow, in a process called hematopoiesis. If we were to create blood through meiosis we would be immortal, given we had space to continue growing and enough food, pretty much like the Portuguese man o' war (Physalia physalis) and allegedly alligators/crocodiles, You might wanna check this out about the two ways cells divide ;)Let the drinking of blood to vampires and carnivores, as long as You don't do it everything will be fine!! xÞ“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” ~ Nikola Tesla

Don't sweat much about it, just take good care of the body and it will be hard to create an imbalance inside it so the parasites exist and thrive, it's possible but only under very specific and "bad conditions" =)You mentioned rest/sleep, and it is indeed essential since we regenerate mostly while resting/sleeping ( ..guilty, I don't sleep enough but it's ok, I'll have my practices to still remain healthy.. )Fair enough, we all have sinks inside us, and those are some pretty decent analogies for some of the stuff inside us all ;)What do pH and parasites have to do with one another? The human body has a normal pH at the intracellular level of around 7.4. This is slightly alkaline. Parasites, which are unfriendly bacteria, viruses, protozoa, amoebas and microscopic worms, cannot live between a pH of 7.2 to 7.4.
