We have been hard at work behind the scenes in service to the @gardenofeden's community mission for almost a decade! We have hundreds of thousands of photos, thousands of videos, articles, graphics, and designs, and multiple websites that illuminate sustainable, honorable, responsible options that support a better world for all creatures and our living planet, and we look forward to continuing to share them here on the blockchain.

Now, to get to today's post - we want to share a refreshing dip in our outdoor well shower!
Everyone loves to shower! Today, we're sharing an inside look at one of the greatest aspects of life in our ecovillage - our outdoor well shower!
We do lots of sweaty, dusty, manual labor in our ecovillage, and one of the best parts of getting dirty is getting clean!
We take showers outside year round. In the heat of the Texas summer, jumping in the well shower 2 or 3 times a day is a sustainable way to cool off within seconds, and it sure is refreshing to go from sticky hot to goosebumps cold in under a minute!
In the wintertime, it's a brisk exercise in enjoying the elements that's actually really great for increasing circulation as well as practicing breath control. We might be a little more focused on getting in, getting clean, and getting out in the winter vs. chilling in the shower in the summer, but it's still a fun, sustainable experience.
We built a trellis around the shower that holds a grapevine and rose bush for a bit of privacy that is both beautiful and functional!
In a the following video, Quinn demonstrates how we shower outside all year round with water pumped right up out of the ground.
