Sandy Tansley
(1957)
This one is a little different, because I could not find a copy of his recording - Resuscitation Rock - (although it is out there on records). There was apparently some dispute as to whether Sandy or Johnny Cooper was indeed the first artist to record a rock'n'roll song here. Sandy may have beaten Johnny by just a few weeks.
