My Goodness - My Sharona - That's a long solo for a Straturday.

This solo is like so many others that I've played live in bands when I was younger where I never actually played it correctly. I'd play bits and pieces that meant that it was mildly recognizable but probably quite a bit shorter and quite a lot crappier.

I had the backing track for this so decided to sit down and learn it note for note and found quite quickly that it's (for me) as tricky as buggary.

Fun Fact: Did you know that every year after you turn 40 you can slow down a solo by 1 percent? It's true....

I really enjoyed learning this but could not play it up to speed. After learning it and getting it to about 80/90% I was almost sick of it (my fingers certainly were. It's been along time since I had guitar blisters). Time to record and move onto something else shiny.

Plus it is stratutday not strunday...

It may sound corny, but I really appreciate the platform and support from hive and hivians. I don't think I've ever practiced guitar this much in my life and I feel that I'm getting a lot out of it.

As per always, enjoy, and stay safe!
