Sports Betting with Bozz: Another weekend of winners!

It was a pretty eventful weekend for me as far as sports betting goes. I honestly probably went a little overboard, but my wins were more than my losses, so I am going to call it a good run. We will see if that can carry over into this coming weekend.

I definitely am going to keep sticking to my epiphany that I had a couple of weeks ago about doubling my money on bets. I mean, 90 cents is 90 cents whether it took you a dollar to get there or $.50.

The Major League Baseball playoffs have started, but I have still been focusing my bets mainly on American Football. I don't see that changing anytime in the near future. Spread betting and points betting seems to be the most lucrative for me right now. As you will see, I have still been doing some parlays, but the success of those has been pretty hit or miss.

You might also notice that another weekend has went by that I haven't used my Draft Kings account. That account doesn't have as much money in it and I am working on building my Fan Duel account back up to a decent size. It's an uphill battle, but with a little luck, I will get there eventually.

It shouldn't be a surprise that my weekend started with a bet on the Detroit Lions. They had that match up against Green Bay a week ago and given their recent success against the Packers, I knew I needed to throw some money down on them. Vegas agreed and Detroit was the favorite to win, so a $1 bet earned me $.75 in winnings.

I had a good line on the Louisville game thanks to the Pickswise site, but unfortunately, Louisville couldn't cover the spread. That could have been a nice couple of dollars there, but oh well.

Given @enforcer48's recent comment that BYU was looking better than he expected, I threw some money down on them to beat Cincinnati. That was a tough call because you might remember, The Bearcats made it to the football playoffs a year or two ago.

Thankfully, the tip and my intuition paid off and BYU beat Cincy earning me a nice $1.08 in winnings on a $1 bet.

Finally, I also did a stand alone spread bet on Baylor and Central Florida that didn't work out for me. Oh well, you can't win them all.

I also put a bet on Illinois and Purdue hoping that the total match points would be under 53.5. This was a tip from Pickswise again and as you can see, it didn't work out for me.

Additionally, that four leg parlay was a big nope with only one of the legs actually hitting. It seems I am better off sticking with the two leg parlays than the single leg parlays. I might need to keep that in mind going forward.

It's just that those potential winnings on the four leg parlays are so juicy. You know what I mean?

NFL betting went a little better for me. Sure, I did another four leg parlay that didn't quite work out, but I also had that two leg parlay with Buffalo winning and The Steelers and Texans putting up low scores that earned me $2.31 on a $1 bet. Not too bad!

Finally, I did another two leg parlay that you can see above and I won $2.73 on a $1 bet. Unfortunately, that spread bet on the Giants didn't turn out, but I can't really complain. I am now sitting at $142.40 and that means I am up from where I was a couple of weeks ago.

Two leg parlays are looking really attractive for me and as I said, I am getting more comfortable with those smaller bets on more of a sure thing.

I'm not sure how much I am going to be able to bet this weekend, but I am hoping I can maybe get my account up to $145 or $146. That would be a nice bump going into the middle of the month.
