When I saw the Photofeed theme Cityscape Photography, La Paz came to my mind immediately. As Bolivia's unofficial capital, La Paz spreads over a canyon at an altitude of almost 4,000 meters. I was so impressed by its cityscape at the first sight of it approaching from Copacabana on a bus. Later, I decided to stay there for a week instead of 3 days as planned earlier to explore the city.
As you can see from my photos here, the city offers an extraordinary view in such a magnificent setting. I can't say it's beautiful or pleasant to look at, but it's surely unforgettable and breathtaking, literally too.
Mi Teleférico, an aerial cable car system with 10 lines has been serving the La Paz–El Alto metropolitan area for mass transportation. I took some of these photos from the cable cars, and from one of them, you see the snowcapped Mount Illimani dominating the skyline. Standing at over 6,000 meters, it's the second-highest peak in Bolivia.
要说旅行中哪个大洲给我印象最深，那肯定是南美，至于南美洲哪个大城市最奇幻，那可能要算拉巴斯了。拉巴斯La Paz在西班牙语里意为“和平之城”，是玻利维亚最大的城市和政治、经济、文化中心，而法定首都其实是苏克雷。
熟悉三毛作品的朋友可能对她笔下拉巴斯的女巫市场有印象，我也是小时候看了她写的南美游记，一直对这个地方心存好奇，终于在几年前得以去到拉巴斯一探究竟。本来只打算呆个三天，结果被这座魔幻超现实的高原山城深深震撼到，在那里足足晃荡了一星期，这也算独自旅行的好处吧，可以随心所欲的改变计划。
拉巴斯海拔近四千米，建在高原盆地里，是世界海拔最高的行政首都。城里漫山遍谷的红砖房，夹杂着一些难以形容的神奇建筑，美观应该谈不上，但还是很壮观的^^。为方便人们来去高地区，空中架设了10条缆车线，我乘坐了其中的几条线，这里的一些照片就是从缆车里拍的，其中一张可以看到六千多米的伊宜马尼雪山，是玻利维亚第二高峰。
