Happy FriYAY 🎉 technically speaking, it's not yet my weekend (one more work day), but I do switch to weekend mode on this night. 😂 It has been a rainy two days due to monsoon rains mostly. Thankfully, the two other strong typhoons are outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility, but that apparently still trigger the pulling of monsoon rains so it makes for overall rainy weather in my vicinity. I welcome it though. There's no need to turn on the cooling system that also means I get to save on electricity bills. I have mother nature to thank for that. 🤣
Today, I'll share with you this local meme that is considered a joke among Filipinos. I believe I mentioned before how local folks are excited for Christmas. A good lot of folks start preparing for it as soon as September arrives. Well, September is now here. Here's the meme...
The meme features businessman and well known singer/composer Jose Mari Chan, whom locals consider to be the icon of Christmas in the Philippines 'coz of the catchy Christmas songs he had written and sung in the past. First off, today is not as rainy as yesterday. It did rain pretty early on when I woke up. These days I don't get up earlier than 5am anymore. I discovered that I still have enough time for some rituals and journaling before work day starts even if I do start a little later than usual.
Rainy days make me appreciate working from home more. I'm not a fan of soggy socks and shoes, esp. when at the work place. 🤣 I also get some rest from watering the plants. These days I need not worry on the plants drying up fast. They get their fair share of watering. At times, I find the garden more #aliveandthriving esp. during the rainy season.
It was a fairly busy work day, but I realized that I can actually multitask and even get to watch my learning videos on the side throughout the day. I make it a point to have a healthy balance of work and play. 😉
Friday is also chicken dinner night for the kitties. Yup, they got their roasted chicken earlier. I think the outdoor kitties can tell what day of the week it is. They seem to be all present for it. 😹 next time around, I will need to either buy a bigger chicken or buy more than one. I've been telling my daughter that the chicken seems to have gotten smaller. 🤔 I swear it used to look and feel bigger. 😝
