December is here and with it comes the mood, the party, the desire to get together with friends and have a good time. And how are you preparing, what have you done so far?
Here in my country Venezuela we have been celebrating for a while now, in many places we have already decorated our houses and we are preparing everything for Christmas and New Year's Eve. I have had to hurry up a bit because I don't have enough time for anything and I have to fit in my time to be able to accomplish everything I have planned. For now I have already decorated the living room and I am still cleaning other areas of the house, taking out some things I want to give as gifts.
Ya llego diciembre y con él llegó el ánimo, la fiesta, el deseo de reunirse con los amigos y pasarla bien. ¿Y ustedes como se están preparando, que han hecho hasta ahora?
Aquí en mi país Venezuela desde hace rato estamos de fiesta, ya en muchos lugares hemos decorado nuestras casas y estamos acomodando todo para las fiestas de navidad y año nuevo. Yo me he tenido que apurar un poco porque el tiempo ya no me alcanza para nada y tengo que acomodar mi tiempo para poder cumplir con todo lo que tengo pensado. Por ahora ya he decorado la sala y sigo limpiando otros espacios de la casa, sacando algunas cosas que quiero regalar.
On the other hand, I have to travel soon to see my mother, who by the way has had an accident and fell. The doctors saw her and say that luckily it was nothing worse since she only had a small crack in the coccyx and with rest and care she will soon be recovered.
The truth is that I already want to be there to hug her a lot and spoil her as she deserves.
Por otra parte dentro de poco tengo que viajar a ver a mi madre, quien por cierto le ha ocurrido un accidente y se cayó. Los médicos la vieron y dicen que por suerte no fue nada peor la cosa ya que solo tuvo una pequeña fisura en el coxis que con reposo y cuidados pronto estará restablecida.
La verdad es que ya quiero estar allá para abrazarla mucho y consentirla como ella se merece.
But it's not all business or errands; I have also found time to be with my friends Iris, Eneida, Aracekl and so we can gossip and have a cold beer as we like. We haven't met for a few months, the truth is that since the on-site classes started we all focused on getting back to the practice of going out on the street, going back to the classrooms and that our children would do well.
Pero no todo son oficios o diligencias; que va, también he sacado tiempo para estar con mis amigas Iris, Eneida, Aracelis y asi poder chismear y tomarnos una cerveza bien fría como a nosotras nos gusta. Desde hace unos meses no nos reuníamos, la verdad es que desde que comenzaron las clases presenciales todos nos enfocamos en volver a retomar la práctica de salir a la calle, volver a las aulas y que nuestros hijos salieran bien.
It was good to have provoked or incited the others to have a coffee, but the surprise was that later when my friend Aracelis came to pick us up we went to a club with a family atmosphere where you can go and have a drink, listen to good music, eat and share.
Fue bueno haber provocado o incitado a las demás para tomarnos un café, pero la sorpresa fue que más tarde cuando mi amiga Aracelis nos vino a buscar nos fuimos a un club con ambiente familiar donde uno puede ir y tomarse un trago, escuchar buena música, comer y compartir.
Sincerely I repeat that I needed this urgently, I think that if I lasted one more afternoon at home I was going to explode, sometimes the days go by and I don't know where to start. I try to take it easy; organizing a trip is not as easy as you want it to be.
Sinceramente les vuelvo a repetir que necesitaba esto con urgencia, creo que si duraba una tarde más en casa iba a explotar, a veces me pasan los días y no sé por dónde empezar. Trato de llevarlo con calma; organizar un viaje no es tan fácil como uno quiere.
Being with my friends was amazing, we had such a long time without seeing each other and without talking that we had a lot of things accumulated to tell that we all wanted to do it at the same time and we laughed like crazy without stopping. I love making fun of my friends and I love it more because I make them laugh so much. That smile is what lasts in my heart for a long time and makes me happy.
Estar con mis amigas fue increíble, teníamos tanto tiempo sin vernos y sin hablar que teníamos un montón de cosas acumuladas por contar que todas queríamos hacerlo al mismo tiempo y reíamos como locas sin parar. A mí me encanta burlarme de mis amigas y me encanta más porque las hago reír mucho. Esa sonrisa es lo que dura en mi corazón por largo rato y me hace feliz.

That's how my Friday was last week, what started as an invitation to have coffee ended up as a nice girls' afternoon with drinks and music in an atmosphere free of husbands and children.
I hope to be able to spend a few evenings like this one, to be repeated in this month of celebration with friends and my family.
Así estuvo mi viernes de la semana pasada, lo que comenzó como una invitación a tomar café termino en una rica tarde de chicas con tragos y música en un ambiente libre de esposos e hijos.
Espero poder pasar unas cuantas tardes como esta, que se repita en este mes de fiesta con amigos y mi familia.
