Day When You Were Ten Years Old.

A few days ago I was a little sad to know that our friend
@ericvancewalton published a post announcing that my favorite Monday routine was coming to an end Memoir Monday #52 FINAL PROMPT (3/3-3/9) - Describe a Typical Summer Day When You Were Ten Years Old.
Every Monday it was customary for me to stop by the #SilverBloggers aisles to find out what our friend had come up with that week. It was exciting for me to have a topic to talk about to make myself known, to vent or to meet others like me who liked to participate in this initiative.
Then I started to think that for some reasons I let some topics pass, always with the hope that at some point I would look for them to write about them.
Today is the best day to look for them and have them in one place so that I do not miss any of them and if any of my colleagues want to do the same as me, they can come to this post and search faster. I request Eric's permission to replicate this information in my post, I hope he doesn't mind.
For now I put them from initiative number one to 30 and today I want to start with the first one.
What store did you love to go to when you were a kid?
And here is my answer:
For as long as I can remember my Aunt Lilia had the only well-stocked bodega in the community where we lived. It was customary to go there every time we left for mass on Sundays or after school to have an ice cream.
My aunt was very affectionate and although she did not have a very good relationship with my father she never treated us badly.
For my father it was customary to send us on Fridays to buy yucca for the whole week, we bought enough because it was very good, so he said.
On Fridays my aunt would go to the city and bring the best products for the community, that is why my father would send us early in the morning before the best was gone.
Another day I liked to go to my aunt's bodega was Sundays after mass, because my mom would buy ice cream for everyone, and to tell you the truth, it was the best ice cream in the world.
Ah, but don't think it was a supermarket or supermarket, it was a simple bodega made with tall wooden furniture attached to the blue wall.
The bodega or store was run by my aunt or her husband, Mr. Luis, a man in a hat, with an elegant shirt, very polite and affectionate.
I remember that when I was growing up I liked to have long conversations with him, I really liked him and that is why when I heard of his death I was saddened.
Today that place no longer exists, there are only the beautiful memories that feed my soul and make me very happy.
Well, this was my answer and my sincere farewell of thanks to Erick, I wish him good luck in everything he does, may it be many more years together here in Hive and if someday he wants to start another activity, whatever it is for sure I will be there to participate. Thanks Eric I liked what you did here with us, come back soon.
