Some ramblings about my passive income

It seems unbelievable that it is about to end of the third week of the amazing collaboration we did with Dreemport in April. It has been very enriching to have been able to exchange with silverators and dreemers about the topics discussed. And it seems that although the world is very big, and we are scattered throughout it, we have more things in common than we think.

This week's topic has generated some questions as to what passive income is, and beyond what the definition says by the book, I like that many in their way have made their interpretation and that's great. Now this is my turn, and I am going to refer to the passive income that I am building for the future. Those that I am working on today, but that I hope someday will give me a nice income that will allow me to forget at times to keep producing, and will allow me to spare some time now and then without worrying about the money. And for example, go to a Caribbean island in a quick getaway to meet with @dreemsteem and @samsmith1971 and enjoy the view while we sip margaritas and talk about anything. 😄🍸

I don't have that income today, at least not in an amount that would allow me to indulge in such worldly pleasures.

But I am working on them, and here I am going to refer to two of the fronts in which I am making efforts to increase my passive income:

- Cryptocurrency

The first front and the one to which I have been dedicating a good part of my time for some time now is cryptocurrencies. Of course, I have screwed up several times along the way, but I think I have learned my lesson. Creating a crypto nest egg has been in my plans for some time now and although little by little like ants I work on it every day.

Recently a friend asked me if I didn't regret of not having invested in crypto a good part of my savings in 2016 when I started to get interested in them. I was about to tell him yes, but then I thought better about it. Most likely given the scenario again and without knowing what I know today, I would have done the same, and I would not have dared to take the risk. At that time the situation in Venezuela had already become quite bad, the economy was leaking and our income had suffered a lot. The savings helped us get through the crisis and then through the pandemic. And surely thinking about the stability and future of my family, I would have done the same. So no regrets.

But I am still building my crypto nest egg little by little.

I think most of us in Hive agree, maybe some more than others, of the big potential it has to become a source of income, not only in the rewards we see today but also in the value we can get in the future. The curation rewards are passive income and although some of us prefer manual curation and have to do something for it, I think we do it because we enjoy it, at least I do.

Then there are the layer 2 tokens, some of which generate passive income directly.

That's why I've made growing my stake in Hive and Leo a point in my Hive journey and I take part in initiatives like the Saturday Savers Club to set up goals to grow my account. And I always looking for new opportunities for new tokens to add to my portfolio.

- Backing the hubby's filmmaking job

Some who know me know that my husband is a filmmaker, and producing a film or documentary can be a potential source of passive income for the future, although it will always require some work. For some time now, my husband has been working on productions produced by other people. But we have our sights set on going back to producing ourselves as we once did. And although so far our production has not given us the income we had hoped for, we have learned along the way from our mistakes, and believe we can do it better without going through the same bumps in the road. But only time and getting the funding to do so will tell...

So these are two of the sources I'm working on to have a better passive income in the future
