"No river can return to its source; yet all rivers must have a beginning." Proverb
In 2020 I was a girl who had an exercise regimen that I fully complied with, even when the exit restrictions began in Venezuela I adapted to these and continued with my physical activities from home, I resumed my walks as soon as the flexible weeks began, however, I had to move twice, therefore, my routine was altered, but not forgotten.
One of my resolutions this year was to resume my exercise regimen, however it has not been easy for me, because I have had to suspend them due to health problems.
Resolutions have no expiration time, and as I recently started my new personal year, then I told myself to stop making excuses and go for it, pleasantly I have been doing physical activity for two weeks now, continuously, and I decided to start as a beginner so that my body can gradually get used to it again, but every time I resume an exercise routine after a long period without practicing, my desire to eat sugar shoots up.
Today was one of those days that I really wanted to eat something sweet, I immediately remembered the banana whose peel was black that was inside the fridge, from experience I know that when this fruit has its peel of that color is because it is at its maximum sweetness and does not need refined sugar added, so I decided to go for it, as I knew it would not be enough to share with my niece I took two.
I mashed them into a puree, added a tablespoon of vanilla, two cups of flaked oats and two tablespoons of wheat flour to make it easy to shape.
I could have added an egg and made a cake, but I went for the quickest thing to do, I added a little oil to the pan just so it wouldn't stick to the pan, a few minutes of cooking on both sides, and I was ready to satisfy my desire to eat something sweet, without any kind of sweetener or sugar, it was a perfect dessert, don't you think?
