A Breezy-Happy Hump Day

Magandang buhay!

The weather decided to be unfriendly today. It's so breezy since last night, the wind violently blasting here and there. Well, it's the windy season of the year so it's expected, but somehow, I can't get used to it even after being here for years, lol! Anyway, that's just me describing how things are going. This is my diary after all.

I do love the rustling of the tree leaves out in the yard. My little Anyeong must think someone's outside that he howls now and then I had to bring him outside for him to see that there was no one there. He stopped afterward and now enjoying his snooze.

Meanwhile, I got a call from my father a little while ago. He was trying to reach my brother but he couldn't so he asked me to try giving him a call. I immediately sensed from his voice that something was not right. Thought it was Mom. It turned out, my niece was in labor and her husband was not in the house.

"Whaaaaat?" That was me on the phone. I freaked out right then and there. "Why the hell would he be leaving home when he knows his wife would give birth at any time?" My mind raced with questions. Typical me. Dad said they didn't know. The expected date is 2 weeks away. Aah...

Worrying or panicking doesn't solve anything - that I have proven yet again today. My niece's husband got home and they are en route to the hospital at the time of this writing. Me? My chest is still heavy and I feel like there's a knot in my stomach. My fault for stressing myself unnecessarily. "Gotta work on that..." Been saying that for ages yet still succumb to it when something comes up, haha!

On the lighter side of things, I'm going to have another nephew grandkid. Someone's going to be calling me "Tita" "Lola" "Auntie" or "Granny" a few years from now, yay! It's pretty exciting to think that a little darling is about to join the clan and I'm now expecting that there would be chaos in my parent's house soon. A perfect present for the season, I must say. It couldn't have come at any better time! It's going to be a wild Christmas for the family.

Until then, we are taking time to breathe in and breathe out... awaiting the good news that the little one has finally come out of this world, healthy and sound. We'd sure be going to say hello when they get back home.
