Still A Toddler in Crypto-verse

Hello, Silvery souls and of course, everyone in the Hive!

Olya Kobruseva

The first crypto that I dived into was Bitcoin and that was in 2015, I don't exactly remember how I learned about it but it may have been through the social media, Twitter or FB. Being open to learning something interesting and new, I hopped in even without knowing much.

There was a local wallet called CoinsPH (it still exists today by the way), and it was where I did most of my Bitcoin transactions then. At the same time, I learned that blockchain.com was safer so I also created an account and been using a few wallets there.

Back then, Bitcoin was still cheap (about $300) but I never really saw it as an investment. To me, it was a convenient mode of payment and that was it. At that time, it just comes and goes out of my wallet like cash. I often used it to pay for my bills and other stuff. Lost more of it on schemes like double your BTC and others, lol!

Looking back at the history of my wallets, I can just laughed vigorously with a bit of self-contempt, lol! But I am thankful because it is how my crypto journey started, so no hurt feelings now, haha!

Anyway, fast forward to today, I'm still a crawling toddler so to speak when it comes to cryptocurrency. And whilst I am learning along the way and through the years, it feels as though I can never catch up because the crypto world evolves rather fast. I believe though that it is never too late because opportunities present themselves everyday and we just have to know which to grab and HODL on to.

My short journey here in the Hive ignited an additional plan that even the husband agreed to be a sensible one - to have it among the other little retirement pockets that we have here and there. We believe there is so much ahead of us. And since we are still quite young and have dreams yet to fulfill, we always try to make our time worthwhile and keep adding to our lil coffers too, and YES, that included crypto.

That is also one of the reasons why I am so keen on learning a bit more each and everyday about Hive and crypto in general. And I can say that I'm at the right place and or community. Thanks to technology and assertive people around who are willing and eager to help others along their way.

Coincidentally, I remembered my recent predicament about the PolyCUB Airdrop which I had been trying to get around since over a week ago as to why I couldn't claim mine. After snooping around LeoFinance for some days, I read a very interesting post entitled The Ultimate Savings Account. Reading it and finding no answer, I gathered an ounce of my guts and asked the writer what I might be doing wrong. I am so glad that @jk6276 was so helpful and brought to my attention the possible reasons. And so I am happy to report today that a visit to LeoFinance's discord solved my concern. Ain't that awesome?

Pardon me for digressing for a moment there but I felt it was an important lesson learned and a must share:

- That it is absolutely okay to ask questions and seek other people's help.

I am happy I did, but also have a bit of regret that I didn't do it earlier and wasting the previous days' airdrops. Some lessons are really costly, but we do learn much from them :)

This is my little story in participation to our community's first Silver Prompt. And I implore you to share yours too :)

Thank you and I wish you a fantastic crypto journey!
