We've gone through many phases of life - from innocent babes to wise old souls.
We've stumbled and fallen, stood up time and time again, conquering many obstacles along the way, but also flown high on cloud nine during good times.
The sands of time have rubbed away many of our rough edges, teaching us tolerance, and the realization that not everyone is from the same mold as we are.
Who are the 'we' that I'm talking about?
The Silver Bloggers of course!
We're all aging way more gracefully than our forebears, and very few of us go into full retirement, which used to be the norm!
Many of our Silver Bloggers of retirement age are busier than ever before with side hustles, some are living the impossible dream, and others are still in full-time employment.
So, do not underestimate a Silver Blogger, we may have reached big milestones, but we're still very much on top of things!
The Silver Bloggers' third birthday came and went without any fanfare!
Why?
Because the founder, that's me, forgot! Yep, I can blame the Silver hairs but that's not the case this time.
Life has taken me on a very painful bumpy ride, as it has done to @fionasfavourites.
Fiona was here from the birth of the Silver Bloggers on 17 April 2021, a true professional who took on the role of our super-efficient admin. I could not have done it without her!
Our third birthday was just over a month ago, but it's never too late to celebrate, and I'll tell you about that a little later!
The Superb Silver Bloggers Team
Fiona and I have a super-fantastic team, and they are the ones who have kept our community afloat while we've been going through deep waters.
@mondoshawan joined our team not long after our beginnings, always quietly at work in the background, setting up stuff like Discord bots, with the latest project automated rewards for our delegators.
In Dan's own words...
We "old people" in particular have learnt that life is too short to be bothered with trivialities. And so we go back to the important things. Back to "real" life.
I cannot separate our two collaborators, @coquicoin and @tengolotodo, who complete our team.
I'm sure all our regular bloggers have met these two awesome curators who also collaborate on new initiatives, especially with our InLeo @silverlions.leo account, when they introduced us oldies to threading and set up the Weekly Top Author.
Eli had a health scare last year but is back in action, and taking good care of herself, something many of us neglect, right?
We are thankful to be part of @ocd’s incubation program, which greatly helps our community members grow.
