Thirty years: three things that shaped my life

This story starts in the Seventies. '76 exactly, we went visiting family in the nord. Summer holidays on Fehmarn with the whole bunch... and my first time going camping in a caravan. My aunty had a, to me huuuuge, Dethleffs Beduin. What an awesome encounter...

After that we went every two years back up nord for summer holidays and my aunty parked the Beduin right in front of their house, so i could live there during the visit. This rolling "house" definitely shaped my life.

Thirty years and many different places and stories later, a conflict with a health insurance shaped my life in an unacceptable way, so that i decided to leave all the imposed obligations behind. You may have read some about it in previous blogs of mine. Anyways, i took my rucksack, went on to the road and traveled about 3000 km in two years all over Europe. Working as a Roustabout i re-encountered the rolling homes again.

Living with artists on the road was so life changing, that i even forgot that in the beginning i left for the coast to find work on a boat. After four years traveling with a circus i headed on, still my rucksack on my back, hitch-hiking from place to place, i found some lost paradise...

After my decision to stay in this beautiful place, my new family gifted me a "la Bohème". The most beautiful caravan i have ever seen. A small place to call my own.

Last year was crazy life shaping in many ways, but you surely know by yourself. For me, the time to find ways to live independently came to a peak. Lucky me, in my circle of friends we are already working on that point for some years now. The scamdemic just pushed us a little more to act right now.

I found quick enough a place for my caravan. Off-grid, with all the possibility for permaculture and a freshwater source. Everything what a human needs. To be sure the caravan will survive another few years, some renovation was needed. In some kind of exchange, i had a work shop and all the material i needed to do so.

Inside i created a new kitchen with more room to stock. A new floor and a complete new bed, with lots of storage underneath. After seven days the biggest work was done and "la bohème" left for the last journey.

Now i'm ready for whatever craziness the mentally ill society is going to bring on us. If ever it really reaches out to us, i say only "better be careful" approaching us, you will love it and stay... 😊
