The Oz Asia Festival

In order to leave the house and attempt to return to at least a semblance of being jovial, I decided to visit a friend who was working at the Oz Asia Festival.

She'd offered to pass along my details to the people she was offered a job with. I can only take her word for it as the boss didn't ring or email me.
My friend texted me, after I'd purchased one of their grilled chicken meals and had walked a few hundred metres away.

I was asked if I was a cook / chef.
I said no, thinking it was a about being qualified.
Huge mistake.
I can cook to a certain degree and it wouldn't be too much of a hassle to teach me how they prepare their meals. I'm still a bit nervous about cooking for others in case of food poisoning, but I also know that it's just anxiety talking.
However, I'd said no and didn't matter how much I scarmbled to claw it back in text form, it was too late.
I didn't get a call back, but I wasn't expecting one either.
The rest of the event was pretty cool.
There was music and people dressed up in those dancing dragon costumes.

There were food stalls on both sides of the River Torrens and there were lines a few hundred metres long for each of them.

I even saw a drone filming the whole thing from above.

If you're in Adelaide this time of year, it's worth checking out especially at night as the lanterns glow a lot brighter against the darkness.
It's a safe event to bring kids along to aswell.
It's free entry, but expect to have your bags inspected by security on the way in.
Until next time,
Thanks for reading.
