This month's #BoM has us taking a look at our commitment or lack thereof regarding the resolutions we made for the New Year. Although modifications to how we live our lives or how we behave can take place at any time of the year, the changes we hope to make at the start of a new year seem to carry some extra weight. Just prior to the start of 2023 we purchased an exercise bike with the intention to get back into shape. My goal was to increase my cardiovascular endurance and loose 15 pounds.
to improve muscle strength and muscle endurance.
Keeping a log of how I'm doing with meeting my objectives, keeps me motivated.
Not only did I want to work out on a regular basis, I also wanted to continue to do do what I've been doing for years, eat well, juice, and take vitamins. I can also be a little lax with this regiment, so I included some of this on my chart.
- bike - 24 out of 35. best ride - 5.44 miles, 20 minutes, 98 calories burned
- leg weights - discontinued as of 1/18
- dumbbells - 17 out of 35
- blueberries - 21 out of 35
- beets - 16 out of 35
- vitamins - 29 out of 35
- Goodies average - 2.4, 0 to 5 scale
- juice - 34 out of 35
After compiling these numbers I would give myself a grade of a B.
I'm a man of habits and this routine is becoming a habit which makes meeting my goals easier every day.
