MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION, GETTING BACK IN SHAPE ... so far so good.

This month's #BoM has us taking a look at our commitment or lack thereof regarding the resolutions we made for the New Year. Although modifications to how we live our lives or how we behave can take place at any time of the year, the changes we hope to make at the start of a new year seem to carry some extra weight. Just prior to the start of 2023 we purchased an exercise bike with the intention to get back into shape. My goal was to increase my cardiovascular endurance and loose 15 pounds.

I also decided to do a workout with dumbbells'
to improve muscle strength and muscle endurance.
I did some research online looking for exercises that would address these issues. After viewing several workout videos I chose 6 exercises that I thought would work for me. (bent over rows, bicep curls, overhead presses, side extensions, tricep extensions, and squats) I wasn't looking to become Mr. Universe but I was looking to tone up. Already having these weights scattered around the house took some time to locate. I have yet to find the other black 10 pound dumbbell, but improvising with just the one is working out just fine.

Keeping a log of how I'm doing with meeting my objectives, keeps me motivated.

Not only did I want to work out on a regular basis, I also wanted to continue to do do what I've been doing for years, eat well, juice, and take vitamins. I can also be a little lax with this regiment, so I included some of this on my chart.

Is there room for improvement, most definitely.
