olive backed sunbirds nesting with eggs - Papa pio and Mama mia


my first post about it. around may 15.

It survived the First Typhoon of 2020 Hits Central Philippines, plus my eldest son put a blue land cable near it. :(

I tried not to disturb them too much. here are some photo.
around may 22/23. i check inside the nest and found 2 eggs. but photo i took may 25.

I did some research and egg hatch in 14~16 days. will check soon if it hatched. actually once i see papa pio goto the nest. am sure that meant it hatched :)

mama mia would be on the nest all nite long. lazy pio i not see. only female sits on the eggs. :)
She would leave during daytime. but comes back from time to time.

In daytime if she see me. she would fly on the opposite side of the street.

I told my dutch friend "nokdoc" for 19yrs+ about it and we decided to named the birds :)
We still chat. :)

update: today i saw the male near the nest :) a good sign.
