Here's a few shy birds by the marsh for this #featheredfriday by @melinda010100
First we start out with a blue wing teal.
He seemed to want to stay far away near the reed edges.
Sadly his distance from me pushed the limits of my zoom lens so I had to crop in pretty close losing resolution.
He finally jumped up on some debris and I was able to get a fairly clear shot of him.
Now he's digging around in the muck. I didn't see a female around anywhere so he's probably looking around for a mate still.
Next we have some really shy wood ducks.
These guys were even farther away in the marsh. They are really skiddish and will fly at any slight movement.
There were a couple pairs of wood duck mates. I thought I even heard babies in the reeds but it might have been mallards.
I wish these guys could be a bit less shy they have such nice patterns.
Sadly most my shots of these wood ducks turned out a bit blurry.
Mallards always make an easy target for shots. You can practically go up an pet them.
These house sparrows are easy to photograph as well. This is a baby begging for food near a nest box they took over.
He looked like he was expecting food from me. Soon he will leave the nest box entirely.
I found another nice clear shot of the bluebird as well. Unfortunately he decided to hide behind a branch.
Happy #featheredfriday
