Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 138 ~ finally collecting rent

From August 6th, 2021 until June 18th, 2023 the Lincoln Bedroom Birdhouse has had a vacancy sign hanging on the entranceway. I'm not sure why it took so long for a pair of expecting parents to move in but after almost two years the the place is finally rented out.

I had listed the birdhouse on Vrbo and Airbnb, but still, the Lincoln Bedroom stood empty. I was giving some thought to lowering the price of the rent per night, but I thought doing so may bring in some undesirables.

Finally, I ran into a rental company that listed tiny houses exclusively.

The symbol for this start-up outfit is BBH, Better Birdhouses. In less than 24 hours of the listing hitting the internet, this guy was checking it out. Conversing with him required me to use the #featheredfriends Language Translation Book given to me by BBH. This company thought of it all.

After squabbling over the price for an hour or so I was losing my voice. Chirping comes naturally for birds, but my vocal cords were stretched to the breaking point. If you think it's easy talking to a bird, try chirping for an hour straight.

This guy was a real wheeler dealer , and finally, I lost my patience and told him this,

Chirp-chirp-chirp...chirp-chirp..chirp..chirp-chirp---chirp..chirp-chirp....chirp-chirp Chirp-chirp-chirp...chirp-chirp..chirp..chirp-chirp---Chirp-chirp-chirp...chirp-chirp..chirp..chirp-chirp---Chirp-chirp-chirp...chirp-chirp..chirp..chirp-chirp---Chirp-chirp-chirp...chirp-chirp..chirp..chirp-chirp---!!!!

It's no wonder my voice was shot.

All of this rhetoric just to say "Take it or leave it."
As you can see here, they rented the place.

I watched him for a few hours to make sure that he abided by the one and only rule I had insisted on before renting to him, THERE WERE NO PETS ALLOWED.

I believe that the couple that were moving in were House Sparrows, but I wasn't sure. I didn't want to be too meddlesome.

After a few hours, I guess we were both thinking the same thing, where the heck was his partner? Just because she was carrying a child I could tell that he was not at all happy with making the place feel like home all by himself.

Within a minute there she was, perched on the ridge of their new home. She didn't fly in with any material to help with the construction, but flew in with an attitude, scolding him for his aggressive complaining.

As is always a good idea, he decided to take a little walk fly, not wanting to escalate the situation.

After cooler heads prevailed they worked together peacefully, knowing that their newborn would be hatching in a few days.

They stayed for a month or so before departing. Like myself they were very private, never once allowing me to see their hatchling. Before flying off we discussed the possibility of them renting again next year. They loved the place and I loved the fact they were very neat. They had left the place like they found it and there would be no need to call in the cleaning service.

I would like the 3rd picture to be the one considered for the contest, thanks LADIES

A big thanks to @nelinovia, @melinda010100, @barbara-orenya, and the entire #featheredfriends community for the hours of fun I've had since joining this community.
