Mi lunes comenzó a las 3 am. La razón: Poder sacar un turno para la legalización de unos papeles de mi mamá y pueda reunirse con mi hermano en Uruguay, pues hace más de 5 años no se ven.
La oficina abrió a las 8:30 am y yo tenía el número 135 en la cola (fila), que era enormee!! Habian más de 400 personas con el mismo objetivo. Cuando empezó a amanecer, el sol comenzó a golpear severamente, y apenas había lugar donde refugiarse o sentarse. ¡Qué Horror!
Por suerte, por levantarme sumamente temprano o que se yo... logré un turno. Pues ayer se iban a entregar todas las citas para Agosto, o sea que si no clasificaba, ya quedaríamos hasta septiembre para comenzar los trámites. Supongo que más de la mitad de las personas que estaban allí se quedaron sin poder tener su cita para el trámite.
Salí de allí bajo un sol abrasador sobre las 10:30 am, con ganas de bañarme en la ducha, beber muuucha agua fría y tirarme a dormir.
My Monday started at 3 am. The reason: To be able to get an appointment for the legalization of some papers for my mom so she can join my brother in Uruguay, since they have not seen each other for more than 5 years.
The office opened at 8:30 am and I was number 135 in the queue, which was enormous! There were more than 400 people with the same goal. As the sun began to rise, the sun began to beat down severely, and there was hardly any place to shelter or sit. What a horror!
Luckily, by getting up extremely early or whatever... I managed to get a shift. Well, yesterday all the appointments for August were due, so if I didn't qualify, we would be left until September to start the paperwork. I guess that more than half of the people who were there were not able to get their appointments.
I left there under a burning sun around 10:30 am, wanting to take a shower, drink lots of cold water and sleep.
Pero, de dormir nadita 😄!!! Unos amigos y yo, hicimos un plan para reunirnos y así despedir a otra amiga que va a recomenzar su vida en otro país mañana, así que queríamos poder pasar un rato con ella, pues sabemos que generalmente pasan algunos años antes que podamos vernos de nuevo, más cuando hay que hacer trámites legales para obtener residencias y situaciones así.
Ni cortos ni perezosos quedamos en vernos en los alrededores de 1.ª y 70, Playa. En un grupo de Bares que se han establecido en esa zona costera.
For yesterday, some friends and I made a plan to get together to say goodbye to another friend who is going to restart her life in another country tomorrow, so we wanted to be able to spend some time with her as we know that it usually takes a few years before we can see each other again, especially when there are legal procedures to be done to obtain residencies and situations like that.
So we arranged to meet in the area around 1st and 70th, Playa. In a group of bars that have been established in that coastal area.
Los primeros que llegamos fuimos Ale y yo...apenas pudimos esperar y comenzamos a disfrutar él rato con una cerveza y yo con un daiquirí 🍸. Mi cóctel sabía a gloria bendita! 😍
Bromeamos porque el tamaño de la copa no era pequeño, pero aquel brebaje merecía al menos una jarra.
Si tengo que comentar que es caro! Uff! qué caro está todo en mi país!..la inflación que estamos viviendo es absolutamente agobiante, por lo que debíamos andar suavecito con el tema de la pedidera de tragos. Más aún cuando el resto del grupo ni había llegado.
Durante la espera nos bebimos un par de cervezas y ordenamos un mojito. En esta caso el mojito era para Ale, pero yo lo probé y estaba igualmente divino. Además el volumen del vaso era más aceptable para podes disfrutar un poco más del trago.
The first ones to arrive were Ale and me...we could hardly wait and we started to enjoy him with a beer and me with a daiquiri 🍸. My cocktail tasted like holy glory!😍
We joked because the size of the glass was not small, but that drink deserved at least a large jug.😆
I have to comment that it is so expensive! Uff! how expensive everything is in my country!...the inflation we are living is absolutely overwhelming so we had to go easy on the drinks ordering. Even more so when the rest of the group had not even arrived.
During the wait we drank a couple of beers and ordered a mojito. In this case the mojito was for Ale, but I tried it and it was equally divine. Also the volume of the glass was more acceptable so you could enjoy the drink a little more.
Ahí en ese bar estuvimos un rato hasta que llegaron los amigos y mi esposo que salía del trabajo y se nos unió. ¡El sol estaba bajando, pero aún se sentía bien fuerte y daba hacia la zona en la que hasta el momento estábamos sentados, así que decidimos movernos hacia otro de los bares que además tenía oferta de pizza!
We stayed there for a while until our friends arrived and my husband, who was leaving work, joined us. The sun was going down but it was still very strong and it was facing the area where we were sitting so we decided to move to another bar that also had pizza!
Acá en este nuevo Bar, tenía mejores precios, (uff alivio para nuestro bolsillo) y más ofertas... enseguida ordenamos. Yo otro mojito, deliciosooooo, frío..refrescante..con su hielito y su hierbabuena 🤤 y los demás una jarra de cerveza.
Here in this new Bar, they had better prices, (uff relief for our pocket) and more offers... we ordered right away. I ordered another mojito, delicious, cold, refreshing, with ice and mint 🤤, and the rest of us ordered a pitcher of beer 🍻
Ahí compartimos el resto de la noche. Hablamos, reímos muchísimo. Hubo algo de baile y un montón de frases absurdas a causa de alguito de alcohol en vena.
Conversamos sobre la partida de nuestra amiga, algunas inquietudes, le deseamos muchas buenas cosas, que seguramente tendrá porque ella es una gran persona y logra hacer amigos hasta debajo de una piedra.
There we shared the rest of the night. We talked, laughed a lot. There was some dancing and a lot of absurd phrases because of a little bit of alcohol in the vein.
We talked about the departure of our friend, some concerns, we wished her many good things, which she will surely have because she is a great person and manages to make friends even under a stone.
El tiempo paso rapidísimo entre tanta y tanta risa. La pasamos genial y Lily estaba encantada con haber tenido la oportunidad de tener esta despedida con sus amigos y colegas de trabajo.
Sabemos que no podremos hacer esto nuevamente con su compañía en mucho tiempo y aunque nos deja esa tristeza, también nos sentimos felices de que está luchando por un porvenir más prospero y otras situaciones que en nuestro país no puede resolver.
En mi caso específico me alegra mucho la oportunidad de haberle creado este recuerdo a Lily y para todos nosotros.
Que esta situación, que es medio triste también pueda estar rodeada de risas y felicidad, es un paso fundamental para que ella tome todo el impulso necesario para lo que vendrá.
Fue un día, que fue de cero a 100 en unas horas, comenzó en la oscuridad de la noche y así mismo terminó pero lleno de música, risas y amigos.
Time went by very quickly with so many laughs. We had a great time and Lily was thrilled to have had the opportunity to enjoy this goodbye with her friends and work colleagues.
We know that we won't be able to do this again with her company for a long time and although it leaves us with that sadness, we are also happy that she is fighting for a more prosperous future and other situations that in our country cannot be solved.
In my specific case I am very happy for the opportunity to have created this memory for Lily and for all of us.
That this sad situation can also be surrounded by laughter and happiness is a fundamental step for her to take all the necessary motivation for what is to come.
It was a day, which went from zero to 100 in a few hours started in the dark of the night and ended in the same way but full of music, laughter and friends.
