It's the field of anthropology that holds to cultural relativism. Not agreeing strictly with that principle is one of the reasons I didn't major in anthropology. Also I am more comfortable indoors and it's more limiting to get something like a teaching job. Also I am not the type who wants to be a teacher. Basically if I had pursued anthropology I'd be writing books and articles with that degree.
I remember one of my 45-minute classes during one of the semesters I took anthropology was about cannibalism such as the Fore people of Papua New Guinea. I also did a semester report about vampire folklore in different cultures. No, I wouldn't say it is good because of kuru and other prion diseases that could be spread by the practice. Cultural anthropology studies cultures holistically so an anthropologist would strive to understand how the practice of cannibalism connects to other aspects.
