Some time ago I saw a video of Adele in an interview where she was asked a similar question, and her answer was if everyone wants to make music for TikTok, for reels, for Short videos, for Gen Z as they say it, who would make the music for the elderly? She would.

I am proud to see how Afrobeats has grown and how when you talk about music, Afrobeats is mentioned.... Everyone can vibe to it, both young and old.
Let's talk about Afrobeat..
Afrobeat is a Nigerian genre. It's a combination of juju, jazz, and chanted vocals. We would all agree on how fast Afrobeat is dominating the world. Growing up the kind of Afrobeat songs we used to listen to had a deep meaning and they always passed a message. Artists like Fela, Asa, and Timi Dakolo, songs always passed a message.
The types of music made today are far way different from the types of music made back in the late 90s and early 2000s. These songs were a hit, and everyone could relate to it, these songs were a banger at every party. Sadly if some people see you listening to these songs, they'll call you old school and say you don't know what's up.
Some artists today only make music because they feel there's a lot of money in the entertainment industry, which is true. Their sole purpose is to make money and get famous, they have no intention of passing any message.
Today Afrobeat is the amalgamation of Rnb, hip-hop, dance hall, you name it and it's now called Afrobeats or Afrofusion.
Afrofusion has gone up to another level where people from different parts of the world can relate and also vibe to it. The sad part about all this is no message is being passed.
Anyone can just wake up and say today I want to release a song and there you have it, a new hit trackš.
The annoying part about it is how people jump and dance to it and also sing along. I'll blame it on the beat.
Today we can see a 5-year-old singing a Naira Marley song from the beginning to the end in the presence of their parents and they will record it and post it on social media saying their child is doing a great job.
I can remember when I was little and I mistakenly sang a song that had the word bum bum or sex in front of my parents, oh That day.....I would receive the beating of my lifeš¤£š .
The truth is no one cares, it's just a song so they say.
Believe it or not, the kind of music you listen to influences your thoughts.
Artists now use naked videos to promote their music because that's what people want to see.
Most Afrobeat songs are about love, girls, sex, parties, and just wealth. We have just a few artists who talk about politics, and things happening around us, unlike the songs made in the 90s which were mainly about life, Politics, and love
There's a song by Burnaboy 20-10-20. The lyrics of this song are so heartbreaking, that anyone who listens to it can relate to what happened on that day, how Nigeria killed its people. Everyone both old and young, on hearing this song, will get the message.
Music is a universal language, and Afrofusion has done great work in bringing the world together.
I am proud of how far Afrofusion has come.
It's good to know that there are a few artists out there who take their time to pass a message and also make good music for people to listen to.
Thanks for stopping by ā¤
