Little Things That Matter.....

Sometimes, it seems that we ran out of the zeal/Motivaton to forge ahead especially when we've encountered many obstacles along the line that makes us take a break for a while to ask ourselves,

Is it really worth it?
What's the need of all these struggles and bustling up and down?

It is in these depressing moments that we tend to appreciate the impact of stories of people that have once been in the shoes we've found ourselves in either in the form of Motivatonal Stories or encouragement.

Regardless of the fact that we tend to overuse Motivatonal Stories and lines in this part of the world making them look like they've lost their worth and are irrelevant in practical life, there are still some moments when we calm down and take a deeper understanding to the words we hear and we tend to appreciate them immensely.

"One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well."

- Virginia Woolf

Last week, I serendipitously discovered a would-say funny quote per say which but the timing of the discovery made it motivate me a lot....

Here's What Happened...

After going for my routine hospital clinical postings, I came back to my room not feeling hungry because I ate in the morning before going to clinic.
There was still ample time left before nightfall which made me decide to go to the library to flip a page or two.

In the course of this reading, it felt like I was not moving at all and as if I was way too easily distracted with unexplained high metabolism that made me start having signs of Hunger.

I looked at the topic I was reading and it was few pages to the end and I decided to manage and finish the topic before going home.

The signs of Hunger kept increasing and I noticed I was literally understanding almost nothing from what I was reading and exams was almost here so I had little or no much time to while away, that was when I picked up and phone and on trying to check out my Instagram page, I saw the quote above.... I couldn't stop laughing.

Without wasting any other minute, I left to the cafeteria and bought food, came back and it felt like I was given a new brain which was very receptive to information and what I was reading started making sense again.

The already tired me felt reinvigorated again and was inspired to keep reading my book, hopefully it pays off in the day of Reckoning

After a while I was taken aback to a quote I knew before which says,

First we eat, then we do everything else."

- M.F.K. Fisher

And this became clearer to me.
Indeed, we never really understand some of the things we hear until we are placed in a situation where it is applicable.

It's really so funny how little things could influence our productivity but then it's a confirmation of the saying that in life, just little Little things done properly matters because life's all about a chain and for every step we miss, we tend to pay the price sooner or later just like I couldn't read because I didn't eat before going.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day👍
