Most people believe that almost all media is inaccurate and biased

I would be willing to bet that most people have understood this for quite some time. It wasn't ever as evident in the past as it is today, or at least since the beginning of 2016. In a recent poll, which itself could be biased and inaccurate since statistics can easily be manipulated to serve a certain opinion, Gallup found out that overall people believe that 62 percent of the news that they consume is biased and intentionally inaccurate.

What is even more funny to me about this perception of bias is that the respondents pointed the finger at what they considered to be the most biased news outlets right in line with what their own personal political bias just happens to be.

Personally I find it to be so damn hypocritical that the Republican respondents would say that CNN and MSNBC are "definitely biased" while the same people attempt to suggest that Fox News isn't. I feel as though it is extremely evident that Fox News definitely is biased.

Of course on the flip side of this dumb coin, Democrats said exactly the opposite. They say that CNN is unbiased and that Fox News is "extremely biased." Can we all just pull our heads out of our backsides for a second? Just because you agree with the message that something it saying, or it falls in line with your particular prejudice, doesn't mean that it is true or that the producers of said drivel aren't picking and choosing what they are going to tell you in order to get a certain point across.

I suppose I could agree with PBS news being least biased of the group but it doesn't really matter because nobody actually reads or listens to PBS news. The fact that Vox is even on the list is a bit of an embarrassment in my mind. The fact that CNN isn't lower on the list right down there with Fox suggests to me that the survey is a bit biased in itself.

Every single media outlet on this list is biased in one way or another and the fact that anyone would consider WaPo to be unbiased suggests to me that they haven't ever read anything by the Washington Post. I think in the realm of politics that The Washington Post has produced about 90% anti-conservative anything articles over the past 4 years... and we all know why that is.

In a tiny shred of honesty and perhaps signs of life and brain activity, Republicans surveyed actually admitted that Breitbart is biased but they wouldn't say the same about Fox. Of course CNN was at the top of the pops pulling in an astounding -87 %

The same can't really be said for Democrats surveyed as they voted exactly how you would expect, ranking all the major left-leaning outlets as "unbiased" and conservative ones as "biased." The only break in the responses was where everyone could agree that Mother Jones and Vox are definitely biased. This is an easy conclusion to come to because they are both trash news outlets as well.

Maybe it is because almost all media is controlled by the same companies? Could it be?

Basically the results of the survey that was conducted over the course of a month earlier this year is that nobody believes the news - they also were able to come to the conclusion that 80% of people believe that the stories that make it social media are biased as well. I would guess that number should probably be at least that high since the most popular social media sites are absolute garbage pages like Occupy Democrats and The Other 98% both of which have been rated as "true" by Politifact and Snopes, both of which are themselves biased, a combined total of zero times.

Folks, you are on your own. There is no true media out there anymore, just activists pushing for a desired result. Unfortunately, it seems as though a large part of the population still falls for it though as they stick to their dumb guns and believe that their side is telling the truth and the other side is always lying.
