Hi Everyone,
It's with great pleasure that I'm welcoming everyone to my blog and I hope you're all doing well and having a great day. I will like to share with you about the new update regarding small farm in my yard. If you're have been following my blog for a while then you would have noticed my love and dedication for farming and agriculture at large.

Today I want to share with the latest activity in my garden regarding the beans that I just planted recently. The planting season has been amazing as I have been busy with my farming activities. Though am not a commercial farmer because I just make use of the small space in my yard to keep my farming activities going and this has enable to have free access to fresh foods and even save me some money considering the high cost of food in the market right now.

I started my planting season with the maize plants which I have already harvested some weeks ago. You can check here to know more about my maize plants. After the maize harvest, I decided to make use of the land since we are still much in the middle of the planting season then I came up with the idea of planting beans, this is something I haven't do over a long time as I really want to know what the outcome will look like.
The first thing I did was clearing the land and making some flat but wide ridges since beans is a cover crop so widening the ridges will easily enable me to plant more beans since the land is not that big and doing that will make the beans to flourish and grow well.

It took me some days before I could clear the land and make the ridges, though I keep sowing the beans seed each day I worked on the farm. But during the process, I was very curious because of lack of rain downpour as I don't want to experience the same thing I did with my maize plants but I keep doing my things believing that it will rain soon which eventually does.
After some days my beans begin to sprout and some of them have already formed leaves since I don't sow the beans seed the same day. The beans have been growing up gradually and I even planted some maize plants in between the beans which is called mixed farming. Presently, I am more concerned about the lack of rain downpour which has been happening for days and I hope that it will rain soon so that the development of my beans won't be hamper at the early stage of germination. I am very much happy with the development of my farm and I will be keeping you posted regarding my farming activities.
