Hello everyone, we are here again with the latest weekly contest by @queercoin with the prompt:
This week's topic:
If you were told that you are going to die in 5 days. What would you do?
Death indeed is a necessary end to all mortals. Thus, as far as one is alive, the issue of life after death will always resonate in our minds and daily discussions. Same goes with how one will love to spend the remaining part of one's life. But the truth is that no one wants to discuss about his her demise really. But if I am to enumerate, as our weekly contest prompt requires, these are the few things I would love to do assuming I am to exit the mother earth in the next five days:
Make peace with my God:
I am a religious person and like every other person who is religious, I believe that there is life after death and only pius people can have and/or enjoy eternity. Thus said, I'll like to amend my ways as soon as possible within the he last five days so as to be at peace with my God and enjoy a better life after death.
Make peace with all men:
As long as we are here on earth, there are persons and/or individuals whom we may have offended in the course of our duties and interactions with them. The ones that one can remember, I'll make peace with them and ask for their eternal forgiveness as the case may be. I'll also forgive those that have wronged me in one way or the other.
Visit places I have never visited before:
There are places we as humans long to be or visit. Within the last few days if one's life here on earth one will definitely try and fulfill those lifelong dreams and visit such places before the curtains fall.
Donate to charity and orphanage homes:
There are some charity homes within my vicinity. So within the next five days of my life I'll love to pay a visit to them and.make donations accordingly. Same goes to orphanage homes. I'll also touch there and give them my parting gifts.
Enjoy the moment:
Like the epicureans, pleasure is the ultimate goal. I'll pursue pleasure of all kinds and make myself happy and merry before the curtains fall and I call it quit. Knowing that I do not have another chance to taste the assorted drinks and foods, I'll enjoy them to the fullest.
Relieve the moment with family and loved ones:
I'll gather all my family members, relations and loved ones to relieve the moment. We'll share the good memories together, sing songs, crack jokes and pray together. It'll be an emotional moment really but I know they'll all enjoy it too.
Reflective:
Finally, I'll be reflective on the journey here on earth. It'll be difficult to even remember all but I'll try because there will be tension and troubled mind over what life offers at the other side of the divide. I'll devote some time to spend it with my God in prayers, supplications and blessings to my loved ones.
Death is indeed an unwanted subject. It is difficult to even discuss. My own vase is not different though. Thanks for reading my blog.
