Hello my great friends on hive, welcome to my blog once again. This week contest by @queercoin encouraged us to appreciate ourselves. You know sometimes one maybe to busy and forget to appreciate himself or herself. This is one of things appreciate about hive. Always reminding you something you want to forget. Lol
Appreciation - What do you appreciate/like about yourself?
When i was 15 years, my shoe size was big 39 or 40. And some handsome Men who do not know that i was just 15 started coming to my father to ask for my hand in marriage. My father will laugh and tell them that i was not up to the age of marriage. Some will look at my size and my height and doubt my father.
One day one of my father's friend asked me when i was born. Not knowing that He wanted his Son to marry me. I gave him honest answer that i was 15 years. He asked me if I am sure and i told him yes, am 100% sure because my parents told me when I was born.
One day ,I asked my father why people doubt my age. He said it is because of your height and size. Your height is a desired height of every Man whether the Man is short or tall. He also said that, I look presentable so any Man who marry me will be proud to tell his people, this is my wife. Lol
My height/my pride
I am not too short or too tall. I am 5 feet and 9 inches. (5.9 feet) That time when i was small, i always measure myself with my mate to know my height but now is not like that. Did you do it? I have observed that, when it comes to choosing a leader, people will love to call me. When i am speaking in the public, my eyes will reach all in the audience. When i take group picture with tall people, they don't intimidate me so much. Lol.
I have been in a situation that my height saved me. I was able to see secret plan because I could see from where i was standing to where the plan was going on. My God given height is a blessing to me. I am proud of my height though there are people who are so tall than me. I walk with them and express my feelings despite my height. I am proud of what God has given me.
