Confessions with pinup model, Melia D'Mure!

Good evening, Steemit! I’m stopping in for my nightly blog post, sharing some new artwork and airing the thoughts I’ve surmised and stockpiled during the course of my day. I’m thinking with a clearer head than last night. I tend to not get impulsively emotional but last night, I did. A testament to how important Steemit has become to me, I suppose. Tonight was better. The day was slow, but during the evening, I was able to beat @tarotbyfergus in several games of Magic, set up a new projector […possibly replacing the one mentioned in my previous blog post], and get some editing done before bed.

Tonight, I’m really glad to be sharing new work with LA pinup model and friend, Melia D’Mure. These photos are also some of my greatest shame of the year. As I’ve mentioned, I’m always behind. It’s just an inevitability. I often take on way more clients than one photographer is able to shoot. The edits that come after the session is ultimately what dooms me to this fate. I have bills, a family and that’s why I overcommit. I work ridiculously long hours and I’m still always six months behind. Mel is one of my closest friends, and because of that, she’s always been moved further to the back of the edit list.

“Squeaky wheel gets the grease”, and there are several squeak wheels. All clients should be created equal, but there are always circumstances that have to put some jobs before others. Client and print deadlines, or other times, just outright impatience. For months and months, I’ve had to get to those shoots with a quiet hope that Mel would understand, and maybe she does. Even know, as I write this, I have clients from June that are asking where their photos are…but tonight, I drew a line in the sand and edited this set of images from my shoot with Mel at Viva Las Vegas. I absolutely love them.

I’ll be getting to more from this shoot very soon. Probably shortly after the Christmas holiday, and in my next post, I can go in to the concept, the location and our experience shooting together […this was actually my third shoot with her]. Hey! Quickly, I wanted to mention that my good friend and confidant, @lovejoy, has launched a crypto-centric platform for his blockchain writing and wisdom. It’s on Patreon. Take a moment to visit and consider pledging support. He’s a brilliant mind on this space and the lives of us that inhabit it. Thanks for reading.
