An unexpected surprise from the green monsters menu. Enjoying a day that felt annoying before.
There were many annoying things that day, when I was traveling in Batam City. Starting from the morning, unfortunately, I had to rush to take care of a document. Then, my husband and I got lost on the way because we read the maps wrong. How bad!
It was quite late for breakfast. Maybe it could be said to be more suitable for brunch time. But because we haven't had breakfast at all, I still call it breakfast. I'm looking for a cafe to stop by. My mind was really confused because I hadn't had breakfast at that time, and because I was burdened by the rush.
I found the closest place to our last location. TATIDO COFFEE ROASTERS. I think the place is quite comfortable for a late breakfast. Without thinking twice, I invited my husband to stop by that place. A place that from the outside is just a small place, but it turns out that when I entered there, it actually felt like a comfortable home.
HOMEY VIBES
A day that felt like I was being chased by all kinds of monsters. Luckily, I found an unexpected place, TATIDO COFFEE ROASTERS. It already felt homey vibes as soon as I stepped in because of the dominant colors used. Minimal and natural.
The place has 2 floors. I chose to sit on the second floor. Meanwhile, on the 1st floor there is space for sitting without benches, like the Japanese style. For the 2nd floor, there is space in the corner, next to the window. I like windows. So, that was a choice for me at that time.
With white curtains, as well as decorative green plants that calm me. I felt like I had a place to reset everything that happened to me at that time. I just realized that I was also wearing green at that time. Many coincidences occur.
GREEN FIBRE MONSTER
Can you guess what I mean by green monster? Yupp, the drink menu. I'm interested in ordering the green monster. Although it turned out that when the drink came to my table at that time the color was not too green nor was it as scary as a monster. Maybe it was given the name of a monster to make us feel curious. Also, it turns out that the drink's ingredients are rich in fiber: kiwi and green apple.
When I sipped the drink, it turned out to be really delicious! It was a drink I had never tried before. The combination of kiwi, green apple, yougurt, and honey is sooo good! Very suitable to calm my monster day at that time.
The texture is not too thick nor too runny. Suitable for such a sunny day. I even remember that refreshing taste to this day.
Regarding the price, I think it's expensive. About $3.5 for just a drink. But I think it's also worth it. Because here kiwi and yogurt and green apple are expensive.
This drink doesn't taste like sweet syrup like in other cheap cafes. The taste of green fiber monster actually tastes very authentic of fruit and honey. Even though it's expensive, I don't regret it. :)
EGGS BENEDICT
I am very happy because this cafe provides an eggs benedict menu for breakfast. Whoa! It feels like it's been a long time since I ate poached eggs. I don't know how many years it's been because in the city where I live, local residents don't know the eggs benedict menu.
Felt lucky to get lost that day. I found a menu that I had longed for for a long time. A big breakfast for me. It feels really filling to be honest.
With sourdough, roasted mushrooms, turkey hams, green salads, also poached eggs! I feel very full, also full of happy smiles.
Poached eggs also have the level of doneness that I want. It's still half cooked and suitable to be eaten with all the accompaniments, especially the sourdough. With the $4.65 I spent, I didn't think it was expensive at all. Worth it. Because I find it difficult to find a menu like this in the city where I live.
What an exciting experience that day. Unforgettable annoying events, as well as delicious drinks and food that make me happy. A day worth living.
