First of the month and we all know that it is an exciting day on Hive. It is Hive Power Up Day, or otherwise known as #PUD or #HPUD or #HivePUD.
How times change... years ago people would get to the war to get badges of honour. These days we can get badges for writing and believing in the future of Hive ecosystem. Isn't it amazing?
In order to achieve your PUD badge, all you need to do is to Power Up a minimum of 10 Hive. The bigger the power up, the bigger the bee 🐝 on your badge. There are more requirements in order to participate in the prize pool. Make sure to follow them all to quality for some amazing prizes.
It’s my 3rd full month on Hive and the 3rd power up badge is already visible on my HiveBuzz account. The size of the bee will show up after midnight, but I already know that it will be the smallest one again, since practically I’m still a baby on Hive.
Nonetheless it is the #consistency that matters the most. Consistency is something I struggle with in my life. I get excited about things, throw myself into them, overdo it and then forget all about it. It is the tendency I want to change.
The smallest new, consistent habit can help me greatly on my way to make consistency a part of my life. Powering Up a minimum of 10 Hive every month seemed like an easy enough task to undertake, but I almost failed already in the second month.
If not for power up from @jane1289 in January, my trail of 2023 badges would be broken, so thank you again for this Jane 💙With this great start, I continued powering up 1 Hive every day of January and as a result, I earned my first PUM badge for this year, which is now confirmed by a notification from @HiveBuzz
As well as January badge becoming yellow in my HiveBuzz page and a notification of being one of the winners of PUM. From the announcement I learned that only 60 people achieved this in January and January was also a record month in that number. It didn't really feel all that hard to achieve, but now I feel even more happy that I managed.
Last, but not least, let me share one more great news with you all. This morning I powered up exactly 27 Hive. I had more, but I wanted to leave a few liquid Hive in my wallet, so there is always enough to Power Up 1 Hive every day. Yes, I’m aiming for another PUM badge this month! I’m very pleased with creating this new, #consistent habit and I will do my absolute best to continue it throughout the year.

After Powering Up 27 Hive, I have now become a Minnow! In my 2023 goals article I speculated that I shall be able to achieve this status in the first month of the year and technically I could, but I wanted to save this precious moment for my Power Up Day, to make it all the more special.
