Hello everyone, hope y'all are doing great, it's nice to be here again and I must credit @thekittygirl for this amazing topic. Yes, girl, you are not the only one who has at points in time mused over bundling up and sending overbearingly macho men away to Mars, well my choice planet was Mercury, it will aid you in burning off some testosterone(laughs). Anyways it's great to be in this space, now let's get down to it.
WOULD A SOCIETY OF ALL WOMEN WORK?
Barring all reproductive concerns of keeping our civilization in existence? Could we as women live and work together in peace and build each other up? Hmmm, in my opinion, Yes we could but it would not be sustained for long before rivalry and contention would surface. Women are wired as emotional beings. Everything we do, think, and say stems from our emotions, and just in case you did not know, that's what makes us beautiful creatures okay? Now as I was sayeth (in Shakespeare's voice).
Our emotions kinda take the lead in what we want to do, I would not want to generalize but over here in Africa, Nigeria to be precise, I have witnessed women's emotional displays spring up in full. Emotions like envy, jealousy, bitterness, resentment, and good old gossip are chiefs. You will hear or observe cases of a woman envying another woman's butt, boobs, undies, partner, fame, and wealth but all this notwithstanding, women can make the strongest bonds in the world.
When you are in a sisterhood, you got each other's back. Have you ever witnessed or heard of a group of women who are on a mission to deal with an offender? Wow, believe they are unstoppable. Women are resilient and empathetic and this gives us an edge over the male species. Being resilient makes us strong as we can weather any challenge and not break.
CONVERSELY, WOULD A SOCIETY OF ALL MEN WORK?
Barring all reproductive concerns of keeping our civilization in existence work out? Again in my humble opinion, yes it would work but it would be way boring. The male folks just don't care. It's like they have no emotions (well apart from their libido). Just like I observed for the female folk, I have also come to observe that the degree of rivalry amongst men is minute. Yeah, men hardly envy themselves, if they like what the other has got, they just ask for it or borrow it and they are good.
Again in my country, I have witnessed 8 adult males staying together in an apartment for years, without quarreling or bickering.
Men are wired to be biologically, spiritually, and emotionally to lead be dominant, take responsibility be sturdy, I mean to be reliable. Now the problem usually stems from those who want to boycott their genetic code, abscond from responsibility and be unfaithful. Women are created to be cared for and nurtured. This can be traced back to the creation story involving the first man and woman in the Bible (Adam and Eve).
The truth and crux of the whole matter is that man,(generic for the homo sapiens species for both male and female), is wired for companionship. God saw and knew that it was not good. The man was never meant to be all in one. We are social beings, we need to interact, mingle and tingle with the opposite gender.
A society without women in it will be boring and slow-paced. There's a burst of goodness and brightness that comes with having women in a place or society.
WHICH SOCIETY WOULD HAVE THE BEST CHANCES OF SURVIVAL?
I will opt for a society with a little degree of rivalry, you guessed it right? But I must add that none will thrive.
Yeah, I know some men are machismo and I too feel like giving them a whooping on their behinds, to reset their senses, nevertheless, both gender needs to cohabit for it to be called a community. If women make the world go round, then men are like the force of gravity that keeps us from swaying or spinning out of our axis.
My candid advice to those male folks who are machismo is that a real man can control his ego, subdue his pride and still retain his esteem. Yeah, you have been wired to lead but a good leader never has to remind or enforce his authority on his followers. You shine as a leader when you are compassionate, understanding, tolerant are overly macho.
To all the men who are leaders and top their games, kudos, and thumbs p. To all the ladies who are cool, happy, and content, who got no beef, thumbs up to you as well.
