Hello to everyone in the Ladies of Hive community! Today I join the contest of the week #126, where we talk about utopian societies; a matriarchal society or a patriarchal society, which one is better? There is no doubt that it is a very interesting topic and it may cause some misgivings because of how delicate it could be to have such a radical idealization of the world, however, I am amused and here I will be answering some of the questions. So let's begin.
Would this work, an all-women society? -Would women be able to live and work together in peace, helping each other? Or would it interfere with basic human nature and create rivalries and disputes? What do you think?

El día de hoy me uno al concurso de la semana número #126, dónde hablamos sobre sociedades utopicas; una sociedad matriarcal o una sociedad patriarcal ¿Cuál es mejor? No cabe duda qué es un tema bastante interesante y que puede causar sus recelos por lo delicado que podría ser tener una idealización del mundo tan radical, sin embargo, me a hecho gracia y aquí estaré respondiendo a algunas de las preguntas. Así que comencemos.
¿Funcionaría esto, una sociedad de todas las mujeres? -¿Podrían las mujeres vivir y trabajar juntas en paz, ayudándose mutuamente? ¿O interferiría la naturaleza humana básica y crearía rivalidades y disputas? ¿Qué opinas?
I think that a society totally dominated by women (or men) could work in the short term but not in the long term. This is with the thought that there are no men in a matriarchal society and women in a patriarchal society. I know that there are matriarchal communities that work very well, because there are no leadership problems and the roles are well defined among them so that everything works as it should. This is not surprising. We could even think of the Etruscans. However, the only problem is that in all these communities there was the presence of both sexes.
Personally, I have thought about what a world where only women exist would be like, perhaps imagining that this way certain problems would be solved (femicides, rapes, sexual abuses, neglect and other actions committed by men) and that our way of acting in certain situations is usually different because of our disposition to sensitivity. But as I realize, I understand that the problems would not be solved and that sensitivity is not a women's issue. Evil, violence, disturbed personalities (psychopaths, sociopaths, in short, antisocial), chaos and war is a matter of people, not of sexes. So I might still feel discomfort in an all-female world.
Considero que una sociedad totalmente dominada por mujeres (o hombres) podría funcionar a corto plazo pero no a lo largo. Esto pensando en que no existen hombres en una sociedad matriarcal y mujeres en una sociedad patriarcal. Sé que existen comunidades matriarcales que funcionan muy bien, pues no hay problemas de liderazgos y los roles están bien definidos entre ellos para que todo funcione como debe ser. Esto no es cosa de sorprender. Incluso podríamos pensar en los etruscos. Sin embargo, el único problema es que en todas estas comunidades sí hubo la presencia de ambos sexos.
Personalmente sí he pensado en cómo sería un mundo dónde solo existan mujeres, quizás imaginando que de esa forma se solucionan ciertos problemas (feminicidios, violaciones, abusos sexuales, dejaciones y demás acciones cometidas por hombres) y qué nuestra forma de actuar ante ciertas situaciones suele ser diferente por aquello de nuestra disposición a la sensibilidad. Pero conforme me doy cuenta, entiendo que los problemas no se resolverían y qué la sensibilidad no es una cuestión de mujeres. La maldad, la violencia, las personalidades trastornadas (psicópatas, sociópatas, en síntesis, antisociales), el caos y la guerra es una cuestión de persona, no de sexos. Así que igual me podría sentir inconforme en un mundo enteramente de mujeres.
I am more afraid of the "madman" than the man, because I have had my encounters with both sexes in equal measure, and those I would definitely not be willing to deal with are the so-called "madmen" (antisocial, negligent and imbeciles). And those come in all sexes and colors. And answering the last question, I think both societies (matriarchal and patriarchal) would be doomed to failure for an inevitable and inescapable reason; without the option of being able to reproduce, the extinction of the species would come.
Beyond that, I think it might be nice to experience a matriarchal society. But I don't hold to that because it can be counterproductive to idealize. As I said above, going radical can be quite bad and utopian can become dystopian. The important thing here would be to maintain the balance that both sexes provide in a society. Le tengo más miedo al "loco" que al hombre, pues en igual medida he tenido mis encuentros con ambos sexos y aquellos con los que definitivamente no estaría dispuesta a tratar son con los llamados "locos" (antisociales, negligentes e imbéciles). Y de esos los hay en todos los sexos y colores. Y respondiendo a la última pregunta, creo que ambas sociedades (matriarcales y patriarcales) estarían condenadas al fracaso por una cuestión inevitable e ineludible; sin la opción de poder reproducirse, la extinción de la especie llegaría.
Más allá de eso, creo que podría ser agradable experimentar una sociedad matriarcal. Pero no me arraigo a eso porque puede ser contraproducente idealizar. Cómo dije arriba, irse por lo radical puede ser bastante malo y lo utópico puede pasar a ser distópico. Lo importante aquí sería mantener el equilibrio que ambos sexos otorgan en una sociedad. Finalmente amigos míos, esto queda a gusto personal así que, juzguen por su cuenta.
