“Mum, what is happening in Israel and Gaza?”
While I am cooking and the news is on the television my son asks me that. I Try to keep my face in a state of “child do not worry” and hear myself say, that another war flamed up, and that war is NEVER the solution and that we need to pray for all people.
It’s not the answer that will stop him from thinking but I just don’t know what to say.
War is never the answer. I am not here to write a political blog. It’s only been 1,5 year ago when I had to explain the Ukrainian war situation to another child. I am just telling what my kids ask. And that I just don’t know what to say to solve the worrying. Again I think we need to love and not do war. I just do t know where our world is coming to. Watching the news and the live streams makes me even more sad and scared.
Watching my kids grow up and seeing all this happening in the world makes me sad and fearful for the future. I wish a world without war, fear and with peace. I know it’s not possible now but maybe in the future.
A girl can dream right!
