Cómo dejar de lado a esos hombres que día a día han dedicado su vida a sus familias, siendo apoyo a las mamis en la crianza de los hijos.
Por eso hoy me da gusto, hablar de mi padre, hablar de él, es describir a mi superhéroe en la vida real.

That's why today I am happy to talk about my father, to talk about him, is to describe my real life superhero.
Mi papi es un grandioso hombre, tuve la dicha de crecer con mi abuela paterna, entonces ya sé de dónde le sale tanta bondad y tantas ocurrencias.
Soy la hija mayor de tres hermanos, la única hembra y ya se pueden imaginar que tan consentida fui, era la princesa de la casa, una combinación de travesura, con atrevimiento y valentía, una combinación para ir a la aventura con mi papi.
Recuerdo que de pequeña lloraba por bañarme en cada lugar donde hubiese agua, estábamos de vacaciones en un lugar donde el agua era muy fría y mi papá me metió allí a disfrutar de un agua que, solo yo, la disfrutaba
Mientras unos niños iban a la escuela de natación, mi papi me lanzaba por el aire para caer en la parte más profunda de la playa y aprender a nadar por pura sobrevivencia, así de ocurrente es mi papá y como todo ingeniero me enseñó a hacer los números de forma correcta, era lo primero que corregía cuando le pedía ayuda con mis tareas de matemáticas.

I am the oldest daughter of three brothers, the only female and you can imagine how spoiled I was, I was the princess of the house, a combination of mischief, with daring and courage, a combination to go on an adventure with my daddy.
I remember when I was a little girl I cried to bathe in every place where there was water, we were on vacation in a place where the water was very cold and my dad put me there to enjoy a water that only I enjoyed it.
While some kids went to swimming school, my daddy would throw me through the air to fall into the deepest part of the beach and learn to swim for pure survival, that's how witty my daddy is and like any engineer he taught me to do the numbers correctly, it was the first thing he corrected when I asked him for help with my math homework.
Anécdotas tuvimos muchísimas, pero recuerdo, un viaje que hicimos a un río cercano a donde vivimos y cuando llegamos, el río estaba un poco seco, decidimos hacer un dique como si fuésemos topos y mi papá que era un hombre alto y corpulento, nos enseñaba a mis hermanos y a mí, el nado del caimán, algo que invento para divertirnos en ese momento, la gente que estaba en el lugar se acercó al ver que estábamos nadando, resulta que al ponernos de pie, el agua nos llegaba a la rodilla, ja, ja, ja, que bien la pasamos ese día.
De pequeña viajamos mucho con mis hermanos y mi mamá, todos dentro del país, nuestros parajes favoritos era donde había mucha naturaleza y la playa sin duda alguna, él nos enseñó lo que es el Amor a nuestra patria Venezuela.
Mi papá tiene una personalidad tímida, con un toque de atrevido, además es un ocurrente, siempre que leía el periódico, buscaba fotos de desconocidos para compararlos con los familiares cercanos, las recortaba y se las llevaba a unos, les parecía chistoso, pero a otros no tanto, así es mi padre.
Nos heredó sus ocurrencias con un toque de sarcasmo, que únicamente entre nosotros somos capaces de entender, es un código familiar, je, je, je. Fue ese padre que tiende la mano, cuando uno de nosotros lo necesitó, en mis momentos de oscuridad, él fue mi luz, mi superhéroe.

My dad has a shy personality, with a touch of daring, he is also a witty, whenever he read the newspaper, he always looked for pictures of strangers to compare them with close relatives, he cut them out and took them to some, they thought it was funny, but not so much to others, that's my father.
He inherited us his witticisms with a touch of sarcasm, that only between us we are able to understand, it is a family code, heh, heh, heh, heh. He was that father who reaches out his hand, when one of us needed it, in my moments of darkness, he was my light, my superhero.
