Introduction

Hello there! @Saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!

I'm here again for this week's Share Your Battle Challenge featuring Dragon Cards and for this challenge, I will use Dhampir Infiltrator. It is a 4- mana cost melee splinter for the Dragon element with 1 melee, 2 health and 2 speed at level 1 and has the Sneak ability which allows it to attack back- line monsters and Double Strike which allows it to attack twice per round.

The Battle that I will show to you belongs to bltzr-wizard-726 which is the scholar account awarded to me by Balthazar guild that has max level Chaos Legion deck and is playing on the Diamond League of the Modern Format but before I show you the battle, let us learn more about this card.

Lore

Unofficially, Dhampir Infiltrators are employed by the Gloridax Empire as spies, thieves, and assassins. Because of their half-vampire lineage, they are especially proficient at their work; they have the unnatural reflexes, strength, and agility of a vampire yet are not harmed by sunlight. They do, however, require blood to survive, and the blood of dragons is powerful indeed. It's rumored that the Gloridax provide the Infiltrators with an ample supply to further enhance their already unnatural abilities.

Officially, however, the Gloridax Empire denies any affiliation with Dhampir Infiltrators.... Continue Reading...

Card Review

Prons

  • With Double Strike, Dhampir Infiltrator has the chance to attack twice per turn

  • Sneak ability attacks the last positioned monster that are most of the times have the lowest health and also with the use of Cripple opponent monsters will lose 1 max health every time it gets attacked and Affliction prevents monsters from being healed.

  • Only use 4- mana and can be used for Little League rule sets and as a rare card , can be used on Lost Legendaries and Rise of the Commons rule set.

Cons

  • With the maximum health of 4, this card can be a good target for Opportunity attacks.

  • It also has no armor and can be very vulnerable on Thorns.

Dhampir Infiltrator is a melee monster of the Dragon element. It has the sneak and Double Strike ability at level 1 that allows this card to attack the back- line monsters of the opponent team not only once but twice per turn. When it reaches level 5, it gains the Cripple ability which causes the opponent monster to lose -1 max health each time this card attacks and at it's max level, it gains the Affliction ability which give a negative status effect that prevents monsters from healing. With the cost of only 4- mana to use, this card can be used on Little League rule set and on rule set that does not allow the use of epic and legendary cards. This card can also be used on Evens Stevens rule set that monsters with only even mana can be used.

Battle Phase

image.png

With only 25 mana cap and Little League rule set, me and my opponent are only limited with summoners and monsters with 4 mana or bellow so for the opponent team, they used Waka Spiritblade that only uses 3 mana and also have the Poison ability which deals -2 damage every turn when the target monster is afflicted. For his tank, he uses Xenith Monk with the capability to Heal while also reducing and reflecting magic damage at the same time. He also uses Maggots and Parasitic Growth that can do Opportunity attacks and Undead Badger for Sneak attacks while the combination of Weirding Warrior and Tower Griffin gives them armor while also reducing the armor for my team.

For my team, I uses Quix the Devious that causes 4 mana and reduces both the speed and range damage of the opponent by -1. As for my tank, I use Blinding Reflector which also has the Magic Reflect ability and also has the Blind which gives 15% dodge chance for my team. The only magic monster I have, Time Mage reduces the speed and armor of the opponent which disables the ability of Tower Griffin then I have Dhampir Infiltrator and Uraeus to attack the back- line of the opponents team. For the last two members of my team, I have the range monsters Venari Crystalsmith with healing capabilities and Naga Assasin that provides additional speed for my team .

image.png

With the first round done, Time Mage get to received reflected damage form Xenith Monk's Magic Reflect which was increased by Weirding Warriors Amplify and Naga Assassin also got a hit from Undead Badger but it was well worth using both as they increase the speed of my team and no further direct damage has been done due to attack miss while we are also able to defeat their tank.

image.png

For the second round, the opponent were able to defeat Time Mage but not before Dhampir Infiltrator got to defeat Tower Griffin which would be a pain if Time Mage got to be defeated first because they will gain armor from the Protect ability. Undead Badger also gets to be defeated during this round.

image.png

For round 3, Blinding Reflector was defeated due to poison damage so it was up to the range monster to defeat Maggots. After that, Dhampir Infiltrator beats Wierding Warrior who now can't attack as it was a range monster then, it was only Parasitic Growth that is left and was poisoned by Uraeus whose armor gets back when Weirding Warrior was defeated.

image.png

Round 4, is when the battle has ended where the combination of poison and range damage gets to beat Parasitic Growth. my team has won with only two cassualties.

Battle Recap

Here is a replay of the battle which at you can watch at 3speak or in Splinterlands.

drag.png

Did your Strategy Work?

Using Dhampir Infiltrator for this battle allows me to win the match since it was able to attack twice and defeat Tower Griffin before Time Mage was defeated. if not, the armor will come back and I will probably be defeated.

Do You Like Dhampir Infiltrator

I like Dhampir Infiltrator for the reason that it was a card that can attack multiple times per round with the very low cost of 4 mana. It also prevents the opponent from healing. Unlike most rare monster this got 4 abilities where most only got 3 or 2 and as a reward card, this was something that I can get from daily and season chest that is why I was able to maxed out this card and help me win my matches.

What will you try differently next time?

Summoner 1
Summoner 2
+1 Melee Damage
Archmage Arius_lv3.pngDaria Dragonscale_lv4.pngDhampir Infiltrator_lv8.png

One of the summoner that I still haven't tried since playing Splinterlands is the legendary Dragon summoner Archmage Arius that gives +1 damage to melee, range and magic which of course upon using, will increase the damage of Dhampir Stalker but if I can't use that, Daria Dragonscale which is another legendary summoner will also do the thing and with less mana to be used and I will be able to combine it with dragon monsters so it will definitely be a good combination.
