There's a lot of things that's going on especially in my garden and this time I started this monday engaging with my plants.
As I checked and watered my plants this morning, I noticed that the Burro's tail of my grandma and it's growth is not really doing well. This succulent has been here for 2 years already and it didn't get long. I'm wondering what happened so I checked it. It's soil is very hard and maybe that's the reason.
So I took it and decided to propagate it to have a better burros tail. I'm not that familiar in propagating succulents so I searched. I found out what to do and you simply remove the pieces. Watered it and let it grow new.
I searched for available pots to be use and I thought of the upper part of the water containers that I cut before.
With the video that I watched, I separated the leaves of the burros tail and prepared to plant it already.
I drilled holes first in the cover of the upper part for the water to drain properly. Then I filled it with the organic soil. I aso used plastic straw that will hold the pot when I hang it.
After that I arranged the pieces of burros tail with that pattern as you can see in the photo. I finished putting the plastic straw and finally hanged it.
Planting Spinach
I noticed something beside the river this morning also and it's my surprised that it's a spinach, the violet one. I wonder where it came from and found out that it's from up above. A spinach already climb the bamboo all the way up and now it's seeds are scattering on the ground. They grew just like that one.
A very natural process on how plants grow without the help of humans. Really amazing.
I planted it beside the pole of my chayote and bitter gourd. I hope that this one will grow really well since it's been a long time already since the last time I cook one of this.
I also put a cover so that the snails that's around the area will not eat it. Incubating it will also helps it to grow well without any problem.
Harvesting tomatoes
It's been long since the time I planted my tomatoes and still, it's producing products for us. I'm really amazed how long it's life. The other buds that grew are flowering once again so another batch of tomatoes yiee.
This is the perks of planting something. It's life is really something when you truly cared it. For sure it will give you many times of harvest just like what's happening to me now.
I harvested a lot this day and I stored it inside a box.
I don't know about that storage, I just found it last week because my grandma harvested some also. She said that this box is where she stored the tomatoes she harvested before.
And that is the reason why I'm womdering about my tomatoes not coming to ripe. My grandma was the one who's harvesting it afterall hihi. I thought that someone is involve.
As you can see the tomatoes she harvested last week are.already ripe and it's state is still good.
Stalling poles for my tomatoes.
The tomatoes that I planted in the garden that I transformer are already big and ready to have flowers so I used this day to stall poles to support them.
I used also recycled straw to tie them. After doing that it gave me the outcome like this.
A lot happened today and I'm really glad to be in my garden again.
Thank you for reading and before I say goodbye, I just want to say...
-Plant,plant and you'll survive.
