Charlie comes for a visit and it turns out my dog loves coffee froth

No matter what I am eating or drinking my dog is going to stare at me. There have been times that I was seriously ill and i was taking medication and lo' and behold there my doggo is at my feet wondering if I am going to share with her. I think that most dogs are like this. Eventually Nadi starts to understand what is for dogs and what isn't but that doesn't stop her from staring at me endlessly until I eventually forfeit a little bit and give her a taste of whatever I am having. She has a very sensitive tummy and frequently will throw up if I give her the wrong things so we do need to be careful.

The other day it was raining all day so I couldn't or wouldn't take her out for a walk. I was not in the mood to give her a bath and when we do walk in the rain she always looks back at me and gets angry because she think I am throwing water on her... Cute little idiot thinks I control the weather. I am a god to her.

Well because of the weather I took her down to the cafe with me when I got a cappuccino

She is very well behaved and will just sit there in her chair unless I tell her to do otherwise but this coffee shop is also a bakery so the smells in there are probably driving her loco. So I gave in and let her have a bit of coffee milk froth.

She was apprehensive at first, staring at it like, "what the hell is this stuff" but after one lick she was hooked.

Now she has more reasons to be excited anytime we get into the "magic closet" which is what humans call the elevator.

My days are pretty routine and normally I will have a cup of instant Joe in my condo before I want something a bit more upmarket later. So now that I know that Nadi really likes the milk stuff and several days have passed without her throwing up so we have the "all clear" for her to eat that stuff in the future. It's just a tiny little taste but she really appreciates it. I wonder if the caffeine hits her system like a truck? She does seem to sleep an awful lot so we will have to monitor the changes.

We also had a "friend" come and visit us by the name of Charlie.

Charlie looks like she is related to Nadi and some people that don't know me very well have seen me with Charlie and presumed that my dog had just lost a ton of weight. The difference between Charlie and Nadi is pretty extreme though since Charlie is a registered pure-bred Shih-Tzu and Nadi is just a mixed mongrel who looks like a Shih-Tzu (she actually is half Shih-Tzu but I don't know what the other half is.)

Nadi doesn't really like Charlie and would prefer that she not be here. Charlie is substantially younger than Nadi and has no chillout button so Nadi mostly just wants Charlie to go away.

If you have ever heard the statement about pure breed dogs being more difficult to train here is an example of that. Charlie is pure breed but she is also a bit wild. She is not housetrained very well and you have to watch her because she will pee and poop just about anywhere. Nadi on the other hand would need very extreme situations to exist for her to ever use the toilet in the house. Charlie also doesn't come when you call her whereas Nadi will freeze in position if I ever say "Stop!"

So I guess you could say that I am happy that I DON'T have a pure breed dog because as cute as Charlie is, she is a bit of a pain in the butt as far as behavior is concerned.
