Hello fellow Hivers! Today I will take you on to my little clothes shopping journey with a very tight budget of $20. To be honest I haven't shopped for clothes for a while now. The last time I bought some clothes for myself was roughly 10 years ago, just before my son was born. I really am a very thrifty person and I haven't bought any new clothes for the past 10 years because I was already satisfied with the rags I usually wear. Not to mention I live in the province side of the Philippines were people don't usually go out for travels and vacations. I myself is always busy with house hold chores that I rarely go on vacations at all.
My only problem is that I'm really so tight with my funds. Not to mention I only have like a pair or two of casual clothes which isn't enough especially if we are going to have a few days to a week of vacation. So I decided to just go to Carcar City and try to buy new clothing for the said event. I have with me $20 or 1,000 pesos worth of cash with me. I just hope this will be enough to buy me at least a couple of new summer shorts and if the budget permits it maybe some new T-Shirts as well.
I went to Carcar City to buy some clothes because there are no malls in Sibonga. We have a couple of clothing shops here but their selection of clothes are quite low. To go to Carcar City from Sibonga, I have 3 choices of transportation, by bus, by multicab or by tricycle. I choose to ride a tricycle because it was the most readily available transportation if you want to go to Carcar City. The busses and multicabs pass by in Sibonga on an hourly basis so unless your luckily to be in the highway when they pass by then tricycle is your only option if you're in a hurry.
I arrived at Gaisano Grand Mall in Carcar City and I immediately got in and forgot to take a picture of the entrance because I was so excited 😅. I mean I have been here a couple of times before but I usually go here to buy some groceries and when we bought some clothes for my son. To be quite honest, it's my first time going in the second floor where the clothing department is to buy clothes for myself. Even though my budget was tight I really felt that it was high time I buy something for myself. Rewarding myself for all the hard work I have done over the years.
I went to the men's wear area and the first sets of clothing you will see were summer wear clothes. I guess it really is summer here now. I know it has been so hot for a few weeks now but I guess I already forgot how summer felt. I mean I haven't had any vacations for years now. Just is a life of a father.
I was just looking around some more hoping to find a short that I will like and then just around the corner of my eyes I see it like a sparkling sun just a few meters away from me. I see fink! Oh don't get me wrong, I see fink almost everywhere but being in the men's area and fining one? It's probably the first time I see this color mixed in the men's clothes. I have seen guys wearing pink T-Shirts before but never with pink shorts! I want it! I want it so badly that I snapped it out of the stack like a thief snatching a woman's purse out in the streets.
I was so excited that I rushed to the fitting room to try it out. I fitted to me so well, just the right size and the right length just below the knee. I thought this guy was perfect for me... But sadly when I tried to walk out of the fitting room to have a test run at it, it was so hard to walk. I didn't understand it at first and was confused but when I tried to look down there it was, the V below the zipper was a little tight. If I continued to purchase this short it wouldn't last a single day of walking before my legs tears it apart 😭.
I continued on with my search for my holy grail and found another one! This time it's a light fink shorts which is fine. I don't really care which shade of fink is it as long as it's fink.
Sadly this one is obviously too big for me so I didn't even go to the fitting room to test it out.
I found another fink one... but this was not a short and it's not even for men 😅. It was a sleeveless for women 😥.
I found one fink T-Shirt but it was a little tight to me. I have a big belly and a pair of man boobs so wearing tight T-Shirt is obviously out of the question here. I tried searching for other fink T-Shirts but to no avail.
And so I just bought myself 3 shorts, one fink, one gray and one brown. The other colors were fine coz they fit to me well enough and was comfortable to wear as well. I brought it to the cashier and paid for now. Now I can finally say that I finally own a fink shorts for men! Hurray!
I haven't really shopped for almost 10 years now so I guess times have really changed isn't it? A long time ago, people think that the color fink is only for women so nobody really made fink clothing for men. Hopefully this trend will continue so I could find myself a fink underwear soon enough but that's a story for the future.
Since I still have $8 or 400 pesos of cash in my hands, I decided to grab a slice of pizza on my way home. I have been in the mall for around 3 hours now 😱. A long time ago I wouldn't even last an hour shopping for clothes so I guess all of my workout in the gym and all of my leisure walks really paid off?
Speaking of leisure walks... Time check is 4:30 in the afternoon already in here so I guess it's time to say good bye. I still have to do my afternoon leisure walk after writing this blog 😁. If you have read till here then thank you! I hope you enjoyed reading my fink hunting shopping blog! Till next time! Cheers!
