One of the things my bestie took care of while she was in the Philippines was clearing out some stuff from their house. I remember describing her room as a library as she has a huge book collection and found it awesome.
She decided to get rid of her stuff and asked me if I'm interested in taking some of her books. I agreed especially with her Hunger Games trilogy since I'm a fan of the movies, but haven't read the book, yet. So, she decided to give them to me along with her other favorite books that she wants me to read.
I was expecting her to also give me her Harry Potter books since they're her favorite and even though I've read them before, I'd gladly read them again.
When she handed me the books, I was surprised because there were even more books than I expected and a cute doll.
I temporarily placed them in my puzzle mat since I'd have to re-arrange my shelves to fit everything in.
Here's the cute doll she gave me. The chair is a musical jewelry box.. I'd need to give her a bath soon. haha
This happened last Wednesday after I jogged a lot in the morning and went to the Ocean Park with my bestie, so I was already quite tired. However for some reasons, I didn't want to procrastinate that time, so I decided to work on it. (Surprising... I know!)
This was how my shelves looked like. I have some books, anime figurines and a bunch of anime magazines and doujinshi. It was already quite full to start with, so I was having quite a difficult time planning what to do. But then, I was able to successfully arrange it.
In order to have more space, I decided to place some of my anime figurines on the stairs. I just used a double-sided tape, so they won't fall down easily. Also, for the bigger figurines and the rest of them, I placed on the top shelf. There's also my "Reika-sama photobook". Reika is one of my fave cosplayers and she's actually coming back to Cebu this year. I wanna see her again!!!! T_T
On the next shelf, I placed my important files, then my anime magazines, doujinshi as well as some manga, Harry Potter books, Hunger Games trilogy and Sherlock Holmes books. I didn't put any figurines in front of them, so I could easily take them out.
And on the last shelf, I placed my Japanese-related books, my own novel collection, the rest of the books my bestie gave me and my NEWS concert DVD. It's funny because I haven't read most of the novels I own. The ones that I have already read are never returned by my friends who borrowed them... they were also John Saul and Michael Connelly books. haha
This is how my shelves-slash-stairs look like now. It's more organized, so I'm loving it! It's also an interesting background every time I have a class. Some of my students are interested in my collection and paintings, so it's a fun topic to talk about.
I'm currently reading this book. I finished the first book over the weekend. I read this when I have a break or when I have nothing else to do. At least, it could take me away from my gadgets... haha
The first book was awesome and nostalgic. I enjoyed the movie and now I'm enjoying the book even more. So, thanks bestie!!! haha

Also, I gave JuNa (name from some SB19 members' nickname) a bath, washed her clothes and gave her some accessories. She's so cute and she's now in this little corner in our living room.
And that's it!! I'm glad I didn't procrastinate... pats self
It's been a while since I actually sit down and read a book, so I'll try to make it a habit now... until I finish reading every book in my shelf. ;)
Thanks for checking this post out. See you around! (^^,)/
