About the Quote

We like what we like. That also means we don't like what we don't like. Muchof the time, there isn't much we can do about what we don't like.

If we're in a position to turn what we don't like into something we like, then we do that. The change could be in the form of a removal of something, an addition to something, or a transformation of that thing. If we're in a position to change something we don't like yet we don't do that, then we have only ourselves to blame.

Many times, we won't be in a position to change something. Maybe the owner like having Baroque music playing in the background; it not Baroque music, then death metal. Short of quitting, we can find ways to deal with that quirk. We still won't like it, but we can find a way to minimize the discomfort.

If we can't find a way to change our attitude to something we don't like, and we can't find a way to like it, then we suck it up and divert our efforts to other things where we have the ability to change or we can find a way to deal with it.
