I Wanted to share some of the pictures I took on some of the trips we took recently. These were all taken on a smartphone, as I'm learning to make them better by tweaking to get the best results.
These first two are from Temple University in Philadelphia. I realli liked the colors in the student dorm and the campus as a whole is just ripe for photography. The Academic Building gave me an image-within-an-image effect, as if from a dreamscape. The muted colors of the dorm and it's bold design, really made it stand out from the other buildings nearby, as if it were a ship cutting through the waters.
This last photo happened at the end of the day when we were all tired but happy we went. I wanted to capture the streaks in the blue sky, along with the colorful line of flags.
This next shot is from the aquarium in Camden, New Jersey. The picture, along with the lights and sound, have to be seen in order to capture the mood. The piece was not far from the entrance and was a picture begging to be taken.
We noticed an old building near theTemple campus and it reminded me of those old-time photos taken in the 19th century.
A large art piece stood near center city, but I saw the beauty in capturing parts of it against the afternoon Sun.
I hope you enjoyed my little walk around. It's nice how viewing the photos causes me to recall the sights, sounds and even the warmth of the Sun on my skin. Next thing you know, it'll be time for another trip! :)
Thank you so much!
