We finally saw our heroes free from the clutches of the criminals who seek to kidnap them, or worse. But they are still being hunted, will they ever make it to safety?

"You wait here. If they are part of this, I will need your help. And they are less likely to recognize me."
Lilac reluctantly agreed. "If you need me, just make noise."
Bruce grinned. "That's what I'm best at!" He then walked boldly to the door, and knocked.
A man who looked to be in his mid twenties answered the door. "Hello. May I help you?"
"I hope so. I'm sorry to bother you, but my car broke down a ways back. Could I trouble you for a lift to town? I'll pay you for your time and gas, of course."
The man glanced back into the house, where delicious smells permeated the air. "My wife is just getting ready to serve dinner. You are welcome to join us if you want. We can go find a mechanic after we finish."
"Thank you, but I'm in a bit of a rush, I'm supposed to be meeting someone. Could we please go now?" Said Bruce.
"Sorry, family time comes first, I agreed to never miss dinner with my wife and kids." Said the man.
Bruce grinned, and said "In that case, I would be pleased to share a meal with you and your family!" He then shouted "Lulu, we have a ride! But first we have to eat!"
Lilac came around the corner after a while, as if leisurely strolling along. Bruce urged her to come along, and when she arrived at the door, Bruce introduced her.
"This is my sister, Lulu. And I'm Rick. Thanks again for helping us, Sir.
Lulu, we are going to be late to meet Susan, but at least we will get the car fixed!"
"And my name is Jim, my wife Joanne and I welcome you to our home." Said the man.
They then walked into the warm, comfortable home. Jim led the way to the small, neat dining room. He then introduced his guests to his wife and three children.
After a delicious meal, complete with laughter and good conversation, Bruce, Lilac, and Jim got in the truck, and drove to the town. Jim stopped his truck in front of an auto repair shop.
"Thanks for the lift, and also for the meal and good company, Jim." Said Bruce, as he handed the man some money.
"No need for you to pay me, I had to do some errands anyway. It was a pleasure meeting both of you."
He then shook hands with them.
"Then use this to get some ice cream for the kids." Said Bruce as he put the money on the dashboard.
"Thank you, and good luck with your car, I hope we will meet again. You are always welcome to stop by for dinner."
Lilac smiled. "Don't tempt me, or you might just have a houseguest!"
Everyone laughed, then Jim got in his truck and drove away.
"Let's get to the airport, and out of here before anything else happens." Said Bruce.
"But I haven't had my pizza yet!" Said Lilac.
Bruce laughed, and the two of them began their journey on foot.
The walk only lasted about twenty minutes. But when they got within view of the chopper, they saw a large black limousine parked next to it.
