The colorful mushrooms ¨Polyporaceae¨ saved the search for ¨FungiFriday¨

Otra vertiginosa semana aquí en mi país ¨Argentina¨, los temas más estresantes siguen siendo el de la ¨corrupción¨, las ¨elecciones¨¨primarias¨ y el efecto de los resultados sobre el valor del ¨dólar¨ y como esto impacta en la ¨economía¨ de nuestros bolsillos. Cuando salgo en búsqueda de hongos trato de no tener una expectativa de encuentro muy alta, porque si no encuentro alguna variedad la decepción no será tan grande. Esta semana no ha llovido, y cuando eso sucede las probabilidades de encontrar hongos son muy bajas, o las que encuentras ya se han deteriorados. Eso nos sucedió en el primer sendero que ingresamos buscando hongos

When I go looking for mushrooms I try not to have a very high expectation of finding them, because if I don't find a variety, the disappointment will not be so great. It hasn't rained this week, and when it does, the chances of finding mushrooms are very low, or the ones you do find have already deteriorated. Aunque sé que es la regla del juego, es decepcionante cuando encuentras hongos que se han deteriorado, te hace preguntar porque no pasaste algunos días antes, si lo hubieras hecho lo habría encontrado en buen estado. Superado la decepción decidí cambiar de sendero, tras caminar algunos metros algo llamo mi atención, pero fue falsa alarma, estos no eran hongos, quizás una especie de excremento de animales, aunque mi elección de sendero fue acertada, ya que en el próximo tronco encontraría esta especia rara de hongos, no pude identificarlos, pero estoy seguro que se trata de una variedad nueva en mi ciudad

Although I know it's the rule of the game, it's disappointing when you find mushrooms that have deteriorated, it makes you wonder why you didn't spend a few days earlier, if you had, I would have found it in good condition. Overcoming the disappointment, I decided to change the path, after walking a few meters something caught my attention, but it was a false alarm, these were not fungi, perhaps some kind of animal excrement, although my choice of path was correct, since in the next trunk I would find this rare species of mushrooms, I couldn't identify them, but I'm sure it's a new variety in my city

Cuando todo parecía que no encontraríamos más hongos ¿Adivinen quien apareció? Siii, el ya conocido y colorido hongo ¨Polyporaceae¨:  un hongo del tipo ¨repisa¨ que se desarrolla en troncos o ramas de árboles que se están descomponiendo. Este es uno de lo más visto en el predio en el último año, sin temor a equivocarme diría que este año 2023 ha sido el año de esta variedad. Si bien nunca he probado, es un hongo comestible, y hay en muchos lugares del mundo que preparan deliciosas comidas con ellos

When everything seemed like we wouldn't find any more mushrooms, guess who showed up? Yes, the well-known and colorful fungus ¨Polyporaceae¨:  a fungus of the type ¨ ledge¨ that develops in trunks or branches of trees that are decomposing. This is one of the most seen on the property in the last year, without fear of being wrong I would say that this year 2023 has been the year of this variety. Creo que está claro y no hace falta mencionar que el hongo ¨Pycnoporus¨ ¨sanguineus¨:   ha salvado el día de búsqueda de hongos y nuestra cámara ¨nikoncoolpixb500¨ hizo fotografías hermosas para acompañar a nuestro amigo @ewkaw en su genial iniciativa ¨FungiFridayContest¨:  Mas que un concurso es una actividad que te permite descubrir en cada búsqueda nuevas variedades de hongos en la zona de donde vives, o bien en otras ciudades que comparten otros concursantes, es lo bueno de este desafío, extender tus conocimientos sobre este ¨maravilloso¨ mundo de los ¨hongos¨
