STB#54~` Running To You

When I saw the second question for this prompt, I couldn't help but laugh at myself knowing fully well that I wouldn't have any more excuses to give myself.

I remember when I was in secondary school, I was always excited when it was time for sporting activities. I mostly engage in field events like the high jump, long jump, and others. My teachers sometimes make jest of me that despite my long legs, I can't seem to be good at racing especially short-distance races, so I usually partake in long-distance races where you won't have to run very fast in order to preserve your energy till the end.

Now to the reason for my laughter πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

I remembered that after school I promised myself I would always go for runs early in the morning to keep fit and all that (Ha! easier said than done). At first, I tried jogging around small distances but as time went by I became so lazy that I stopped it. Then I convinced myself that jogging isn't the only way of exercising, so I downloaded a work-out App from my phone's Play Store and for a while, it seems I was keeping up with it, I set alarms and reminders and I did it for some months then I started slacking again.

Sometimes when the alarm goes off reminding me to work out for the day, I just turn it off and continue with my sleep promising myself that I will get to it later in the day, and then I will not. It got to a point where I started skipping some days till I stopped totally. Then, I thought again walking is also a form of exercise, well that I can do πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ .

So to answer the question posed;

If you had to run a mile each day to get your coffee fix, would you? Tell us why or why not, and don’t forget to show us how you enjoy coffee on the go!

I think it would be a good thing for me, I would have no excuse since I love coffee so much. I even see it as a way of achieving two things. First, I get to reactivate my long-forgotten promise which is to always go for a run every morning and secondly, I get to have my daily cup of freshly brewed coffee. I mean what else can a person ask for?

What I love most about taking coffee is that I get to have it wherever I am. I have this thermos flask where I pour in my coffee after brewing it so that it remains hot till I am ready to take it.

I have a mug I keep at work where I pour the coffee I have prepared in my thermos flask. Sometimes when I am out but not at work, I can use the cover of the flask to take my coffee or just sip it directly. Either way, I get to enjoy my coffee anywhere I go.

I love the size of the flask as I can carry it in a small bag. I can also pour hot water in it if I want to make an instant coffee and the water remains hot for hours. It only becomes lukewarm until the next day and that rarely happens because I usually finish up all it's contents before the next day anyway.

So yes, I would run for a mile and beyond to get my coffee fix because life without coffee? Hmmmm I don't even want to think about it and besides at the end of every run, it would all be worth it.

Thank you all for reading.
