A few months ago I went for a walk in the Maria Luisa Park in Seville, where there are large numbers of birds wherever you go, a sign that the city is a healthy place for birds.
The first large group of birds
The first large group of birds I came across during my walk was a huge number of pigeons in the southern part of the park by a fountain.

But even bigger, I think, was the number of pigeons surrounding this popcorn vendor. Surely he was blessed that these pigeons were not murderous like those birds immortalised on film by Alfred Hitchcock.

The second large flock of birds
The second large group of birds I came across was on Bird Island, an artificial pond where a large number of ducks, swans, pigeons and other birds such as sparrows live together.

Very close to Bird Island
Very close to Bird Island I made two very special feathered friends.
One was this duck, which I got very close to take a picture of, and which I had already submitted to the Wildlife Photofeed competition a few weeks ago.

And then there was this swan who, after many attempts, I finally managed to get this funny picture of him scratching his back feathers. In the previous attempts, he always turned his neck to the other side, and when I was on the other side, he always turned the other way, so this is the best and funniest scene.

Greetings friends.
