This photo was taken by the shores of Laguna Epecuén, Argentina. The town called Carhue is located by the lake. The trees around the lake are looked «dead» like these two. In 1985 the dam broke and led to flooding. The land close to the lake, including parts of Carhue and nearby Villa Epecuén almost disappeard, because the water level raised 10 meters. Even when the water startet to recide, the trees never recovered. This was 25 years ago and they still look dead.
